Default How do you use one stamp but two different ink colors?

Hello! I am just trying to figure out the best technique to use one stamp but have the image come out in 2 different colors. For example, this beautiful card in the Gallery. How the heck do you do it?! :?

This is a beautiful card from Angie Humphrey that I would really love to try to make myself. (I have never inserted a picture, so I hope this works!) How do I stamp "cherish" in one color and the rest of the image in a separate color?

the way my demo showed me at stamp camp last month was we inked the entire stamp in the lighter color ink, she had us using grey, and then we wiped the ink off the larger word with our finger or you could use a Q-tip and then use a marker to carefully ink the part you wiped off. It worked great!

You can do this one of two ways

1) Ink up your stamp on a pad--take a damp q-tip and remove the ink from the area you want a different color. Use a marker to color in the area that is to be a second color. Huff (breathe heavy!) on the entire surface to remoisturize the ink and stamp!

2) Color the stamp with different color markers, huff and stamp!

This would be the perfect place for a DAMP q-tip...

Thank you so much ladies! Sounds MUCH easier than the crazy method I was trying! Can't wait to get home and give it a whirl!

You can also just color using 2 diff. markers - color the small words with one marker, then color the larger word with another color, then huff to moisten the ink and stamp

I thought of another way. Color the word in the darker color and stamp it. then cut a mask for it. Then use your stamp-a-ma-jig to position the rest of the stamp.
