Default how do they do that!?

This may be a really silly question, but I don't use the wheels yet, so I'm gonna ask any way.

I've seen samples where they have different colors used on one wheel. How does that work? I'm not talking about the 3 color ink cartridges, I'm talking about some polka dots will be blue, and some will be pink even when they are like overlapping each other. Like on that new wheel that matches "on the spot" in the new catty. I'm confused!

I'm thinking it's inked and then individual spots are re-inked with a marker...but not so sure

See page 219 of the new catty! You can buy 1, 2 or 3 cell uninked cartridges and load them with your own color combos! It is really fun. The hardest part is deciding what colors to use!

You can also use wheel with a baby wipe & reinkers. Drop a few different color of ink on a baby wipe and roll the wheel (with no cartridge) through it and then wheel on your paper. You can only go around one revoltion without it getting lighter, though.
