Default how do i make a 3 x 3 card

this is probably a dumb question i made one of those cute pizza boxes from the tutorials here and all the galleries say you can put a set of 3 x 3 cards in them. I have really only ever made the standard cards size 4.25 x 5.5 and then the long legal evelope sizes. So i guess what i am asking is what size do i cut my cardstock to make the card base be 3 x 3. thanks for your help.
