I need to make 21 cards by tomorrow afternoon. Found this "Birthday Hydrangea" card in the gallery. Does anyone here know how Speedystamper
used two colors on this hydrangea?
I'm having a total brain freeze on how to do this.
I did PM Speedystamper....*sigh* but she's not online tonight. *sigh*

maybe colored it with a marker?

or stamped it in the lighter color and then used a dauber in a darker color directly on the stamp?

you could also use versamark and chalks for a similar effect

I'm thinking it's either markers or poppin pastels maybe. Sorry, I'm not much help!

She probably used her marker or the new chalks. Just putting the color directly on the stamp, huff and stamp.

I think that she probably used the versamark and the chalks too. The colors on the head of the flower are very well blended into each other like with chalks. Good Luck!

I've used this stamp a lot and I stamp with Versamark and use chalks to get the different color. Goes pretty fast.

I just did this with this stamp 2 days ago, i lined the blue pad up and inked the petals and then helded the green pad up to the stem and leaves and inked that and then stamped it, it actually worked perfect. I was trying to figure out a way to get the leaves green and the flower blue. I hadn't thought of versamark and chalk ... i'll try it next time

Looks to me like she inked her stamp in lavender lace or something like that then took a sponge (as she said) and highlighted several areas. I think you could also achieve this by inking the flower with the light color then using your marker to darken the edges and parts you want highlighted. Another way would be to ink with light, then 'rock' the edges of the image on a darker pad, I do this alot but usually mist with water afterwards, that wouldn't be as 'crisp' a look as she has here, though.
