HELP!!! :( I saw spinner cards on this website and just got through ordering my first set of "Dimensionals" from SU! (I had previously had a similar product, so hadn't had to order them before now) Well, I goth them today and THEY ARE NOT ROUND!!! Am I missing something? The "Dimensionals" I got are hexagon shaped, and I don't understand how these work for the spinner cards!!
Please help me if you can!
Tracy

Hi Tracy,
I just made my first spinner card and I used SU dimensionals and it worked just fine. Yes, they are not round but it didn't seem to be a problem at all. Just another pointer - I was told that the slot had to be 1/4" and to be sure it was exactly that and I did. There was a hint from Jan Tink (who makes wonderful spinner cards) to punch a 1/4" hole at each end and then you just have to use your craft knife for the straight lines. It works wonderful but the 1/4" slot was not big enough. I actually had to make mine 3/8". I'm not sure if this is because of the SU dimensionals or not.
Hope this helps.

I made my first spinner card this weekend and I also had to make the slot bigger than 1/4". I love the hole punch idea - I think I'll try that tonight!
Actually, I used the 1/2" punch at each end and cut the slot that large. Works great! 1/4" is just not going to work.
Another tip is, don't store your spinner cards underneath anything; those dimensionals squash and don't spring back and all the sudden your spinner card doesn't spin anymore! And you'll be there trying to "fluff" it up by inserting a screwdriver between the pennies and gently prying them apart without tearing them apart!
So glad the slot should be bigger, I thought I was having operator failure - made 3 last night. Why would I think of stopping when the first didn't spin? Now, to trim those slots a little after the card is assembled ... Suggestions, volunteers?
