I really want to try and do this, but I don't know what your using to get the puzzle areas differentiated from one another. Does one start in the middle and work out and also what kinda glue? any help is appreciated!

The glitter puzzles are done with a Xyron machine. You run a piece of cardstock through and then take an exacto knife and cut away a portion of the sticky paper. Add your colored glitter, then cut another shape away, add more/different color glitter etc.... Beate has better instructions somewhere... I will go and see if I can find the link. Does that make any sense? I still haven't had my coffee

Gallery at Splitcoaststampers She explains it well here.... If you go to the gallery, and put glitter puzzle into the search, you will see all the cards done with this technique. Look at the ones done by Beate Johns... she is the glitter queen. I know she has some good explanations. She is also our tutorial goddess!
This is not hard at all. I wrote a tutorial for it but there is a easier way to make it. Here it is. Take a piece of cardstock and run it through your Xyron machine. Now take a pencil and draw your puzzle lines onto the sticker paper. Cut ONLY the sticker paper with your exacto knife on those lines. Now peel of one piece at a time and rub your color of glitter on it. Tap off the excess and go to the next section. Continue this until your done. I stamped on Acetate and layered it on top of the glitter puzzle held together by eyelets. I like the look. Jenn has made an absolutely stunning one like that with Fishy friends. She didn't use straight but wavy lines and on the bottom layer she used sand. It really looked like a beach. Unfortunately she gave it away before scanning it.
That really is beautiful! I don't have the machine for this but sometime I may have to look into it... any other good uses? I have never seen one...except in a box at the craft store but I am clue less as to what it is really good for?
I dont own a xyron machine either but for these glitter cards, I use double sided adhesive sheets [or Jac paper as we know it here in Australia]. It is just a matter of peeling off one backing paper and layering it to your card, then drawing or stamping your design on the top backing paper, then proceeding as above cutting out a section at a time etc. Works really well for me. Cheers, Jean
Do you all use the retired colored glitters from SU or do you use other brands? Is there a way to use the color without the color coming from the glitter? :?
