Default Glitter and window sheets

I don't know what the technique is called but I have seen some cards with images stamped on window sheets and then sort of colored in with different colors of glitter. How is this done? What type of adhesive is used, and how to you keep the colors from mixing together? I'm thinking it would make an aweful mess, but it looks great when it is done. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
Joy

You'll need these supplies:
Clear Window Sheet, Stazon, Open Image, Crystal Effects, Dazzling Diamonds glitter, Reinkers (optional)

- Stamp image onto the window sheet with Stazon.
- Do one area at a time - use tip of Crystal Effects applicator to apply, or you can use a palette or old CD to mix Crystal Effects with reinkers for color and then apply with a paint brush.
- When area is filled with Crystal Effects, put glitter on & dump off the excess glitter.
- Continue to fill in each area.
- When dry, you can put the card together. The card should have an opening to create a window frame. Glitter side should be facing the inside of the card.

I don't know where I got the directions from originally, but I altered them a bit.

HTH, Jenn

Thanks again Jenn! I would have never figured that out.

I made Christmas cards with the Snow Globe set a couple of years ago, and I used those sticky self-laminating sheets to give the clear part of the globe a little sparkle with some glitter. My demo showed us that technique back when Snow Globe was first introduced in the 02-03 catalog, and we all had to have the set after that!

Hi, just use packaging tape if it's a small window. Leave sticky side out and put glitter on top. the glitter will be on the front side of your card. hope this helps, Susan
