Ok, I see all these fruit cans and paint cans. I've figured out the paint cans but not the fruit cans. Can someone give me a link to directions. I read something about a safety can opener. But then what. It appears that these are re-sealed somehow and the gift receiver can pop them open with the pop top.
I've missed something. Can anyone help!!!!!

You open the can at the bottom with the saftey can opener; empty & rinse it; re-fill it with your gift items; glue the bottom back on using Crystal Effects. That's basically it - really simple yet a fun way to "wrap" the gift.
We've been using Del Monte fruit cups, but any can with a pop top works as long as the bottom edge is not rounded but has the same ridge as the top.
I know there are directions here somewhere, but I was too lazy to look for them. HTH
I can't find a thread with the exact directions, so here you go:
Remove the BOTTOM of a pop top can with a safety can opener. Empty can and wash out. Fill with whatever fits!! I used some candy and crimped strips of cardstock.
Then, glue the bottom back on with desired adhesive - some suggest crystal effects, I used a crazy glue clone.
Remove label from can and cut a piece of cardstock to a similar size. Stamp your cardstock and adhere to the can! I just used mono, but it would probably be better to use something stronger.
Ok, that's the part I missed. I never read anything about cutting the BOTTOM off. Thanks. So you just gule the bottom back on....cool!!
I can't wait to try this. It will be so fun.

Does the safety can opener make it any easier to glue the bottom back on. I tried one with a regular can opener, but it wasn't easy to glue the bottom back on.
Helen
A safety can opener doesn't just cut the top off...or in this case we're referring to the bottom of the can. Instead, this type of can opener pries in between the lid of the can and the body of the can...so there are no sharp edges. I'll attach a picture that hopefully explains it. Once the can is opened...the lid can easily be put back into place and glued to remain securely shut. Now, some of the cambell's soup cans that I have seen have a rounded edge at the bottom so these can not be opened from the bottom, so watch out for that.
Most manual can openers cut a circle around the top of the can, leaving the top to drop into the can's contents. (Joy oh joy! Ever fish a can top out of a can of kidney beans? Bleh!) The Safety Can Openers attach to the top of the can like a typical manual can opener. However, it cuts the seal on the can rather than cutting a hole in the can. It does the job so cleanly that it is sometimes hard to tell that the can is open. But grab the lid of the can by its edges and lift, and the lid pops cleanly off!
Obviously, I've not tried doing anything with fruit cans, but where do you put the CE . . . on the edge of the bottom that you cut out or around the edge of the can? Do you need to hold it in place for a few seconds? I'm really anxious to try these--just have to get a safety can opener first.
You can get the safety can opener for $8 at Wal-Mart. There will be the smallest of lips on the bottom piece of the can that you cut off. I just ran a bead of crazy glue around that edge and then held it on for a few seconds and voila!!! No one would ever know the can had been opened!!
I bought my 1st one at the super market and replaced it as it left jagged edges that cut  They're not all the same and you probably get what you pay for?
supermarkets carry them for around 11.00 // tupperware has one for approximately 30.00 , pampered chef is about 16.00
The Pampered Chef can opener is worth every penny! I received one from my MIL for Christmas a few years ago. I LOVE IT! It still works as good today as it did when I received it.
