Try a stamp company called Just For Fun, I think their web address is www.jffstamps.com (if that doesn't work, do a google search). They have lots of different faux postage stamps with nifty plastic templates that you can purchase to go with each one...they are super fun to use because the plastic templates take all the work out of masking.
Not sure if this is the type of template you were looking for but if nothing else, it's a fun site to check out!
Happy Hunting!

along with the tutorial we included an editable version (Word doc) of the template. if you download this document you can modify the template to whatever size you want.
Is there anything else that you could use for a template besides the window sheet in the catalog? I've never seen this before, and I just have to try it NOW! I don't want to wait for my next order.
all you really would need is something that you can use as a mask for the template you are using beneath it. So you would want it to be see through so that you can cut it properly... I used an Avery 3 ring binder Pocket that you can just slip paper into...it worked great. I didn't have any window sheets on hand and so I improvised!
being the cheap person I am I cut out my template out of paper and used tape and taped it. It works fine and the tape keeps it sturdy enough to reuse over and over. I wish I had Word program on here because I can't edit the templates because of not having it. Will have to work on that, but I like Corel Wordperfect better.
Well, I went to office Depot last night, and bought some transparencies and tried this last night! So Cool! I just used printer paper so nothing fabulous. I just wanted to see if I could do it. What fun! Now, I have a week-end project!
Okay, I must be really tired (or maybe just blind), but Daven mentioned that there was a Word template that was editable in the faux postage resource file, but all I can see is the PDF file. Am I missing something?
Please help, I really don't want to re-create the wheel if there is a editable version around here somewhere ...
Thanks!!

Kiwi,
This thread is a YEAR old, so maybe something changed.
Funny though, because as I read it, I was thinking how I had no success trying to cut my transparency, so I just stick post-its around and stamp inside them, and move them as I go!!! It's kinda weird but it works. I seem to have a ton of post-its here.

Hi,
I buy the blank stencil sheets that you can find in the stenciling section of any craft store. They are sturdier than transparencies. I put it right through my printer to print the template lines on it. Then, I use my cutter to cut out the inside boxes - I have not ever been able to get straight lines with a craft knife. It sounds complicated but it's really easy.

The editable faux postage template can be found near the bottom of the page... "Variations"... "your own template"... "you can download an editable version here."
**If you wish, simply click on the word "here" above and it should take you directly to the word doc. template
