Default Embossed Fun Foam?

Hi... wanted to share something my niece stumbled on ... I introduced her to embossing powder and the heat gun and she was off and running. She called last night to tell me that she had die cut some of the sticky back fun foam into snowflakes and put embossing powder on them and embossed and it turned out looking like metal. Well I had to try the technique and sure enough it does!!
The foam does become a little stiff but that makes it better for embellishment!
God bless

sounds cute!! I've been embossing on fun foam by heating and pressing the stamp into it while it's warm...but I never thought to put embossing powder on it!! I'll have to try that now...

This sounds really interesting to me as well. The system seems like it would work just like the cat eye's little stamp pad rubber attachment that fit right on to the stamp pad. You can gently heat then press the rubber on to a stamp and then press onto ink pad then paper and voila' the image! Cool. I ask the same question what kind of ink did she use?

Well SHE used the versa mark ink pad... she cut out the image with the sizzix then gently pressed onto the ink pad and then into the embossing powder ( just some that she got from Hobby Lobby) then heated it with the heat tool.
Now... I used the STICKY BACK fun foam and just cut the shape with my sizzix and then peeled off the sticky back and poured on the embossing powder..( I used copper) and then heat embossed. It does stiffen the fun foam a little but that makes for a good embellishment.
God bless

Thanks so much for the input here. Love your scripture verse. Some people feel free to cheer and praise their sports team; we cheer for Him. He is awesome! He never looses at anything!
