Cutting 12 x 12 paper for most effective use on XL dies
Somewhere before I know it was on a blog, I saw a post on cutting your 12 x 12 paper for getting 4 sheets of it to use with your Big Shot XL dies. This was just before or after the matchbox template came out. I thought I saved it, since I didn't have the die at the time, but do now. I know it showed cutting out the center of a 12 x 12 sheet of chipboard or something, can someone please help me out, been looking for over an hour through google and SCS..
Thanks

i found the tutorial for what you are looking for, but was told I am not allowed to post urls yet.
You can search for the youtube video: Stampin' Up! Matchbox Die Tips by Pattystamps
Basically, you measure 5.5 inches from each side of the paper and draw a line parallel to the side of the paper. The four lines should intersect in the centre to form a small square. Cut the square out. You can now use your 12x12 paper as a template. The large rectangles left on your paper would measure 5.5 by 6.5 inches, just right for most XL dies. For some longer dies that require 7 inches, you can just measure 5 inches instead, and get 4 sheets of 5 by 7 inches paper for the dies.
So funny that you've already mentioned Lisa! I know her (she and I are part of the same local demo group) and was going to post about her template -- good thing for us that she was a math teacher before she was a demo!
