Default Cupcake pick question

For those of you who have made cupcake picks, do you put a "backing" on the backside to cover up the toothpick from behind it? Hope that makes sense.

It depends on who the cupcakes are intended for and the occasion. Sometimes I will just use some cute washi tape, other times I make it two sided.

I put a small amount of glue on the backside of the paper and roll the paper around the toothpick.

I made some Mario themed cupcake picks for a child birthday party, and I used my 1 inch punch, and glued a circle on the back to cover the toothpick.
