Default Crimper Question

Alright, I've had this crimper for a few months now, and I have a heck of a time getting the cardstock to consistently come out straight (meaning the paper doesn't slide off-kilter as I'm doing it, making the crimped lines slanted rather than straight up and down). Anyone have any tricks or tips to correct this?

Thanks muchly.

Default Crimpers

Is this crimper a fiskars brand? If so is a new design? Their newer design does crimp straight. How to tell. If the plastic (blue)has a texture to it The old style was smooth. IF this is an old style. I contact fiskas via their web site and told them of my problm. They sent out a replacement and I didn't have to send my old one back.
Hope this helps
