Default Createx?

What is Createx? I saw a gorgeous card on painting with radiance and she said she used that technique. Is there anything on here about it? My search function has not worked since last night.

Also does anyone know how to get the technique junkie newsletter?

I don't know anything about Createx but as far as the technique junkies newsletter, here's the site where you can sign up!

I did a search and didn't come up with much. There's a mention of the technique on this blog: http://divaforaday.blogspot.com/2008...-creation.html

And here's an example from the gallery: HM5 - Technique Card - TJ's CREATEX CREATIONS by dcorder at Splitcoaststampers

I did something like this a long time ago with something called Lumine (or something like that). It's kind of a shimmery metallic inky paint. You put drops on glossy paper. You put another sheet of glossy paper on top, smooch it a little, pull the two sheets apart and let it dry. It makes for some cool looking backgrounds. When I get home, I will see if I still have some and get a better name for you.

Default Createx

This was used in a TJ technique a few months ago- it is beautiful IRL- it has shimmer that does not show in a photograph.

And, the Technique Junkies newsletter is such a fabulous investment of $$$. Your stamping will change and you will want to have ink on your fingers all of the time!!!

Thank you all for the info. I do intend to subscribe to the TJ newsletter. It looks like it is a hard copy in the mail, plus access to tutorials and other stuff online.

RAWS I think you mean Luminaire paints, or H 20's. I love them!

I looked at the link given here for Createx. What I saw was definitely not ink smushed between two sheets of glossy paper. This looked like a hand painted background in green and blue paints. Then it had three embossed silver flowers on white vellum, cut out and attached. Had an eyelet in the middle of one flower.

Createx is a brand of high quality acrylic paints...their air brush paint is considered one of the best and is suitable for fabrics. Createx products are comparable to Jacquard products (Neopaque, Lumiere, etc.).

www.createxcolors.com is URL for the Createx site.

Michaels used to stock Createx paints, but don't know if they still do. Usually they were found along the back wall in the same area as the fine art supplies and brushes.

OH! Now that makes sense. I have some Neopaque and Lumiere paints that I bought at the Sewing Guild Convention and have not used. I just the other night took out inkers, H20's and did washes of background color on watercolor paper, for making cards.
