I'm looking for ideas on how to make a card for a kiddo who will soon be driving. I wanted to make it so that it looks like you are looking at the steering wheel from the inside of the car, like you are looking through the windshield. Anyone have any ideas or know of any pics that I could get some ideas from? Thanks so much!

I have a picture of a car on my blog. I got the idea from someone here on splitcoast but I can't rmemeber who to give her credit.
clear dollar stamps has a set called "Sometimes you're the bug" (I think) and it is so much fun. You can put in people, pets, objects, etc. I have it and love it! There is another stamp set that goes with it that has additional sayings for the license plate, people, etc. Good Luck!
OOOPS!!! the car is a volkswagon beatle and you are looking through the windshield. You put the people in the car seats and the animals in the back seat. so cute!!!
I'd start with an image of a road, maybe disappearing between hills or trees.
Then a layer of card cut to look like the bonnet maybe some wipers.
Next a layer of acetate over your scene.
Then a frame around the windscreen. A dashboard and then the steering wheel on a pop dot.
Another fun one would be a popup. I've seen lots of patterns on the web in the past. You'd need to google.

Easiest thing is to take a photo from inside your car showing the drive way then make a diorama of the steering wheel then make the third thing, two hands on either side about to grab the steering wheel. Use acetate behind the steering wheel. With the diorama you can add things to the side like fake buttons and shift levers. on the sides of the diorama make door handles and side view mirrors.
