Default Bottle Cap Charm Bracelets

OK Ladies I know somebody out there can help me with this! I was at the LSS today & they had a charm bracelet on display made with altered bottle cap tops. I want to make one, but I need some instructions on how to do so & where to buy the things I need. Any ideas?

Thanks much!

Julie

Default Thanks...

I saw that link as well. The charm bracelet I saw at the LSS was more elaborate though. It looked like it was dangling on a premade bracelet attached maybe by jump rings. It had maybe 10-15 bottle caps hanging.

the only ones I've seen done just used jump rings to hold them together. they were posted at a scrapbooking site.

Default bottle caps

Okay I have tried this and not alot of luck, cause I am afraid of drilling my fingers, or something wlse on my body that may hurt as I am holding them!
What are you all using??
Hubby does have a drill press but my luck I may injure myself on it as well!!! LOL
I had hubby do it for me and he still messed some of them up

I haven't tried this yet but I'm wondering if the small hole punch would work???? You know the one we can use to make holes and set eyelets with? I know they can punch through slide mounts so I'm wondering if it could do the aluminum caps??? Has anyone tried this yet? My punch is MIA or i would try it myself....

I have the Design Originals idea book "Cards, Mini-Books, & More!" In there they use a purchased beaded bracelet and added decorated bottle caps to it using jump rings. To punch holes in the bottle caps they say to use either a hammer and nail/screw or a 1/16 inch paper punch.

If you're interested in purchasing bottle caps, I just bought a ton and will be getting rid of extras at cost plus shipping.

Here's the link to the Design Originals idea book.

HTH,
Santell

On the one I did that I turned into a Christmas ornament, I used a hammer and nail to put the holes in the caps to put the jumprings through.
