I'm beginning to think that there won't be a tutorial posted for this. I would imagine that if she were going to do it, it probably wouldn't take 6 months to happen. Does anyone know her personally so that could check to make sure that she's ok?

That is my thought. However, I know how things get pushed around in priority status in life, maybe she just has been busy? I don't know, but I am keeping the hope alive.
OK, lets see, checking on this thread every day for 6 months at 5 minutes per, equals 15 hours and 6 gallons of coffee. So when it does come, i'm going to learn the technique if it kills me.
We're all a pretty talented group of ladies...how come none of us can come up with a comparable blossom? I can't tell you how much ribbon I've wasted trying, so someone more talented than I should be able to figure it out. Are the ribbon puffs made like a yarn puff ball (don't know how to make those either)? I think we may need a yarn expert to help us out.

Oh my goodness, I totally forgot!!!!!!!!!! I used to make pom poms out of yarn ALL of the time in the 70's!!!!!!! So easy peasy! I am on vacation right now but sure wish I was home to try it with ribbon instead. I am sure it will work. Here is a quick and easy tutorial for yarn pom poms. This should work I would think!! Oh man, I need to be home with my supplies!

Sorry that you're all getting so frustrated with me about this tutorial. I did intend to have it ready to go days ago, but a serious family situation has occurred, and I've needed to spend my time and energy there during the last few weeks, so the tutorial got pushed back.
I've copied and pasted some information below, to inform you of the situation, in hopes that you'll know I'm not just 'playing games' with you.
Here's the info:
Several weeks ago, in a farming accident, a very dear uncle received 2nd and 3rd degree burns covering more than 50% of his body. Since he is 70 yrs. old and has severe Parkinsons, he was initially given less than 30% chance of survival. Things were very precarious at first, and there were some serious complications. Finally, two days ago his physicians informed the family that with time and continued physical therapy, they feel he'll make a full recovery. He will still be in the hospital for quite some time, to continue treating the burns, and to receive physical therapy, etc. but, the outlook is wonderful.
I truly feel that the reason he lived through this horrible accident is due to countless hours of prayer by family and friends. Thank God for this miracle!!
I would appreciate it if you could keep him in your thoughts and prayers, though.
I'm so sorry that this has been so frustrating for all of you----but, family must come first, before anything else.
I will get this tutorial uploaded, and post back to this thread, very shortly------I just hope you'll hang in there with me.
Thanks for listening.............. Pam

and hope that his recovery is full and quick. Please don't feel badly about the tutorial, we don't want to add to your stress. Best wishes, and thanks for the update.

By all means, family comes first! How very tragic for your uncle and your entire family.
I want to say that I think most of us were more concerned because we hadn't heard from you, more than we were frustrated. I will certainly keep your uncle in my prayers. I've never had anyone close to me suffer from serious burns, but from what I've read, it's not an easy process, at any age, especially over 70! God bless you hon for taking the time to let us know what you have been dealing with...and please DON'T fret about us. Concentrate on your family and the rest can wait!

I knew there was a valley in your life because of your excitement about unveiling the tutorial. My dad was a farmer (who married a "wicked city woman" as his mother announced) and so I understand farming accidents. (By the way, my mother took him off the farm and then had a baby (me) and Grandma fell hopelessly in love with her city granddaughter and my Mom became her favorite person ). My prayer is that he will have full recovery and that his faith will be deepened as a result of people showing love and prayers on his behalf. If there's anything else we can do, let us know! The Lord bless you and keep you and your family in His precious care.

Okay identicaltriplets! I did this rendition, it is a WONDERFUL concept, however, I did it and I am kind of scared to show mine turned out. (I definatley think someone else can make it work though), BUT if you really want to see it, look in my gallery in a few minutes.........warning.......it is sad!
Pam, I will include you and your family in a prayer circle. We will be waiting for your return...no hurry. You are absolutely right in saying family is first!
I'm very sad to hear about your uncle, Pam. He definitely has a long road to recovery, so I wish all of you the gbest and I have you and your family in my prayers.
Sorry to hear that, Pam, but definitely glad things are looking better right now. I definitely second what Lynn said - I think a majority of us were not frustrated that you hadn't posted but worried that we hadn't heard from you in quite some time.
:( Pam, I'm so sorry to hear about your uncle. That poor man! Thank heavens there were family and friends there to pray him through the first little while. Now, the rest of us will add all of you to our prayer list and pray you through the rest. God bless.
jamiehurley I think you are on the right track. Yours certainly looks better than mine. I am wondering if the trick isn't in the final cutting. After it's all tied together I mean. Mine look more daisy like than pom pom like. I am going to try cutting the center ribbons a little shorter and twisting them upwards to see if I can't get a more 3 dimensional look to them.
I registered to Splitcoast specifically to let you know you are in my thoughts and prayers all the way up here in Ontario. I, too, was most concerned about YOUR welfare and, learning what you've been dealing with, I am saddened but relieved that you are not ill, yourself. Do take care of yourself and your loved ones. No that you are not alone as evidence, so well, on this site.
You are my hero - putting family first is so very important - especially in this time and age. As everyone else, we were so worried about you since we hadn't heard from you. Bless you and your family. I'll say a special prayer for you and your uncle! He's very blessed to have someone like you.
Considering what you are going through - our simple request doesn't seem that big of a deal (even though we are very excited to know it's coming)! Teehee!
Not sure what we will all do once you've posted the tutorial....we've been so anxious every day - that once we have it - we'll need to start "stalking" someone else! LOL.
Anyway, take care Pam.

Pam,
I am prioritizing needs. I need for you to follow your "servant's heart" in meeting your family's needs right now. I lost my Dad last fall. I will always treasure the time I had for shared memories and conversation. The following grief was awful, but those precious pieces of time comforted me so much. You will be continuously blessed and your faith will be rewarded.
I will pray for your strength and my patience.
I am the obsessive mother of an only child. She is now 27 and the mother of my two precious "grands." After Kindergarten, I ran to the principal and asked him to tell me ahead of time...."who will be her first grade teacher?" He "shamed" me for wanting to spoil one of the greatest moments in every kids life. That was the anticipation of "who will be my teacher." He told me that anticipation affected our reverence and appreciation for "waiting."
Some things are worth the wait. Your example of family devotion will do us all good!
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. God bless you all, and special prayers for your beloved uncle. We'll be waiting for when you are ready, but take care of your family needs first.
I've finished the revamped version of the Ribbon Blossom Tutorial!!!
I am currently editing the final photo included in the tutorial, and will have everything put together by the end of this evening. (The lighting seemed a bit dark, so I wanted to lighten the photo a bit.)
I hope this is good news to some of you!!
The SECOND everything is uploaded to my computer, I will come back to this thread and post a link.
Thank you, thank you, thank you----to ALL of those of you that have been so supportive of my little creation!!! (The kind things you've said still make me smile----I hope you all know that!!!)
