Of course all the SCCers in my area have snatched these all up!! I found one package of colored clips at Target, but I really want the plain metal ones!! I'm going to have to be quicker at getting to stores when an exciting new project posts.
these are too cute! I found some of these clips at a teacher supply store, so you ladies might want to give that a try! Now I have a new idea to send to my DDSS! SH!
Just a note... I tried the Crystal Effects type stuff called Dimensional Royal Coat because it's all I had and I was too impatient to wait until I went to the store and guess what..... PERFECTO!
No running, no rusting, no bad fumes!!!! Just beautiful clips! Yahooooo! I'll post tomorrow when I can get a good pic and link to this thread.
Thanks to all for the fabulous idea!!!!
They are so darn CUTE!
I got mine at JoAnn's, but I think it's discontinued. I got it in the bottom of a sale bin for $2. It is the exact same stuff as SU's Crystal Effects or, I think, Diamond Glaze(?).
Here's a link to the same stuff I have on the Plaid website: http://www.plaidonline.com/productDe...sp?itemID=2051
looks like this one has different color packaging, which is probably why mine ws discontinued.
TRY IT! I use it for everything!
These clips are super easy to do, but there have been requests for instructions so here goes:
Supplies: Mega clips (they measure anywhere from 3.5 - 4 inches) and are available at office supply stores, Target, Wal Mart, etc. Die cutting system - I use the Cuttlebug Thin chipboard - I used thin white chipboard coasters, but any chipboard will do. Patterned papers
Embellishments of your choice E6000 adhesive
Where do you find the E6000 adhesive?? I do not have a Target here, only a Walmart but would love to try to find the clips and the E6000 adhesive.
Is there another adhesive that would work just as well if you don't have the E6000? Thanks alot Ladies. I am planning to make these for the teacheres at school that I work with.
I have used Tacky Glue, & as long as you let them dry at least overnight, they will not come apart. Hope this helps, Helene
Is there a reason why you just couldn't use a hot glue gun.....no waiting for them dry. Just wondering to those who have done this already. Found two boxes the other day.

we made big clippies with the girl scout troop, and we used the zots. since it was dimensional, and squishy, they were able to position/sandwich the clip between two chipboarad flowers, then they embellished to their heart's desire. they used ribbons, smaller chip flowers, buttons, charms. they turned out cute, and they used the sizzix die cut system to cut their chipboard flowers, so they were able to use whatever color papers they wanted. great way to use up scraps too.
just checking in...has anyone used the hot glue gun to put the clippies together? I'm thinking of having these as a project for a stamp camp...
thanks!

Works just fine! I used the cool temp kinda glue and it's holding on! (my backs were still plain chipboard... I'm sure it wouldn't hold as well if the chipboard were painted on the back though.)
