Default best dominos for stamping

I was wondering, what are the best dominos for stamping? Is there anything I should look for, or avoid, when I purchase. I am wanting to make a few and don't want to start off with a domino that will make it more difficult.

Thanks,
Steffani

Since you didn't specify what you mean by best, I'm assuming you're not talking about a brand, that your question is more basic than that.

The type of domino you want to stamp on is plastic and white. (I've never seen black plastic, but I wouldn't presuppose that there are none.) I buy mine at Target. They say "Jumbo" on them, so the surface is a little bigger than standard.

Other than that, as long as the back is smooth, you should be okay.

Default dominoes

I have been using black dominoes because I like to use peal ex and metalic ep on them. they really show off when you use perfect pearls interference colors. Julie from Georgia

Can you post a sample of your black pearl exed dominoes for us to see?
They sound beautiful. A few directions would be helpful too. I know that you can buy all colors and sizes of dominoes from www.skybluepink.com.

Thanks,

Tammy

Does anyone know if you can buy plain dominos (no dots, etc)?

I wonder if using a DTP (or DTD - direct-to-domino) technique with black stazon would work with the pearl ex... I think I need to go try that! lol

RT, Can you explain the DTD process please?

Also heard of people bleaching and sanding their dominoes. I've never done this! Why do you do this, how does it help??? I haven't had any problems with dominoes so far without bleaching and sanding...

DTD is the same as DTP-- where you just apply the pad directly to the domino to color it. And I sand (I've never bleached) the domino to remove the glossy shine. Helps the ink adhere better.
