Default alcohol inks

I was going to try the alcolol ink technique in the newsletter this week but I don't know what mixative is. Also, is there something else that can be used instead of felt? Thanks, Bobbie

They are the Metallic Mixatives by Ranger http://www.rangerink.com/product_adirdkmixative.html
If you don't have the felt you could use a cotton ball in it's place - but the felt is much nicer, as it doesn't shed like the cotton does

Is there a way to mix our reinkers (dye or pigment) with something/anything to make them alcohol inks?
