I think I may be trying to do something that just isn't going to work. I have teeny tiny confetti flowers that I would like to adhere to a card. I would like to make them look like they are falling out of a basket. My question is what kind of adhesive would I use? They are so small, I don't want there to be sticky stuff where the flowers are not. I tried the xyron, they just clumped together! I would appreciate any advice!
Thanks so much!
the clear glue dots come in a box on a roller and you just peel off the clear glue dot and apply to flowers petals, or could try permanent glue pensand even have some raised petals with pop dots
I had a similar problem recently, wanting to glue tiny little flowers without getting glue everywhere!
Yesterday I bought a glue pen at Michaels in the Martha Stewart section. I haven't tried it yet, but they had a fine tip one which is what I bought. They actually had quite a few glue dispensers in various shapes & sizes in her line.
If the point of the glue pens you find are not fine enough, pour some clear-drying liquid glue onto wax paper or a small plastic (like a 3oz bathroom / Dixie) disposable cup.
Lightly dip a pointy toothpick into the glue then onto the flower and place the flower where you want it. I expect it would still be tricky since the flowers are small but there should be just a tiny bit of glue so perhaps it won't be too messy.
Thanks for all the great ideas. I'm going out shopping today to see what I can find! When I get my project done, I will post a picture. That is if my computer will let me! I like glue dots as well, they are too big for these flowers!
Apply the flowers with white glue (it will dry clear) and a round tooth pick as Hardware Hotshot suggested this allows you to have complete control over what you are doing. I make 1/4 inch miniature furniture and believe me this is the best way to glue small items. Sometimes even a small point glue pen will release too much glue.
It's me again! I forgot to tell you to always use needle point tweezers when working with very small pieces. Trying to pickup small things and getting them where you want them is not an easy task when using your fingers.
I worked a lot on this project this weekend and I kind of gave up, I'm afraid to say. I had a short deadline. So, when I have a little bit more time, I'm going to try again. My hands shake so much, it makes it a little difficult! I was getting a little frustrated! I will try again, I appreciate all the information/advice everyone has given me!
