Default 6x6 to 8.5x11 to 12x12 scrapbook pages

I have heard lots of people talk about takeing a 6x6 and turning it to an 8.5x11 and to a 12x12. I would love to do this but I just don't get it. Does anyone have any pictures they can share? I am a visual person and that would help a lot. THanks so much!

Go to Gallery, then click on Scrapbooking. They are right there, not categorized into 12x12, 8/12x11, 6x6, etc. .

One word of "caution" about doing this at a scrapbooking workshop, however is this: if you're teaching new scrapbookers...they might not "get it". :-) They might wonder (as a few of mine at a recent workshop did) why you're going to all that trouble, time, etc. And yes...I explained 2-3 times why you might want to make a smaller page and later make it larger... Hehe

It has really helped me-I like to call it my ":cheater's scrapbook page" since it looks very fancy when you are done even though it is juts a simple progression. Also great to use with the SU paper-saving templates that you can get through your demo.

colef's Gallery at Splitcoaststampers

I have several in my gallery. I really enjoy doing the progressive style because your 6x6 creates an instant focal point. I have found that is easier for my downline and customers that are not scrapbookers to create a 6x6 than a 12x12. It is not much larger than a card. Then you put it on an 81/2x11 for those who scrapook that size and just fill in the empty places. Then on to a 12x12 for those that prefer that size and again just fill in the empty spaces.

I love it.

Okay, those are completely cool! I can use those to explain scrapbooking to my daughter who is also a visual person. I love how it can grow. That is great!!

Can you explain what these paper-saving templates are?

Thanks!

Sherri, I just LOVE your gallery. The scrap book pages as well as the cards.
