Default 2 ? about Pearl Ex and hairspray

I'm experimenting with Pearl Ex and had a couple of questions. If you stamp with Versamark and stipple the pearl Ex it needs to be sealed - does it matter if you use pump or aerosol hairspray? And if you want to add the Pearl Ex to hairspray for an all over shimmer, what are the proportions? Oh - 3 questions! If you add the Pearl Ex to the spray, can it be saved for later applications, or do you have to dump it? 4 questions!!! Does it clog the pump?
TIA
Carolyn

Yes, you will need to seal the PE, I use Krylon Fixative spray.

Yes, you can save the shimmer spray - you just need to shake it well before use, and may have to clear the spray hole with a pin.

I put mine in a travel size bottle of hair spray with some PE - couldn't tell you the exact amount, because I don't measure.

I've mixed the pearl ex with rubbing alcohol and put it in a spray bottle. I've heard the hair spray can clog, so I went this route. using a small travel size spray bottle, 1/4 teaspoon of pearl ex. if you put too much PE in the bottle, the PE rubs off the cs.

I've done the brush the pearl ex onto versamark but didn't seal it. It worked ok.

For the spray mixture, I bought a trial sized spray bottle at walmarts. I then filled it 2/3 full with hairspray and 1/3 full with rubbing alcohol and added about 1/8 teaspoon pearl ex. I also put 2 plastic beads in there to help mix it up. Mine has never clogged the nozzle. When I'm done I don't dump it out but rather just put it away Put like the above poster said make sure to mix it well because all of the PE will be in the bottom. My spray bottles are clear so I'm able to tell when it's mixed up enough.
