Default TLC751 ~ Paper Towel Techniques ~ {7/15/19}

Hi All - Happy Monday!

I have a fun challenge for you today that I think you will enjoy! I found this great video tutorial (link below) from France Papillon that shows 5 techniques using paper towel (kitchen roll). These techniques use paper towel as a tool for your project NOT as an element for your project which we have done in the past

I tried the first one for my sample but I am definitely going to give the others a try. I didn't have a circle stencil but with a circle die cut and a piece of copy paper, I created one!

My challenge is for you to use one of the 5 techniques in the video and have fun of course
Lyn

Here are the Details for today's challenge:

Fun looking. Luckily DH got up early so I had time to watch before work. I may not get stamping time today but I'll be along some time this week - I'd definitely like to try using the towel to add texture to paste. Thanks, Lyn.

This was a fun challenge. I tried several of the techniques then experimented with a few others. Here is my card.

Thank you soooo much for sharing this cool video! I can't wait to try something! And I love that she calls it "kitchen roll"!

Here's mine. I do occasionally use it for masking and sponging, so I skipped over that option ;-). Loved my background too much to cover any of it up.

Heart TLC751 Sealed with a kiss

Lyn- you inspired me with your card Puffer Says Hello- I used a repurposed cardboard piece paired with my large circle punch to make a partial circle, giving my card a more random sponged look with a piece of paper towel. Here's Sealed with a kiss

I'm all about techniques lately, so this was great fun. I used the pressing the towel into paste.

I'm so disappointed, after returning from holidays then VSN I have had little time for weekly challenges so last night I got to work creating a stencil from paper towel and used modeling past to make a French flag. I was quite happy with it and left it to dry.
This morning before I did anything else I decided to make some slow cook chicken soup and in the process of slicing the leeks I sliced off the top of my thumb (with a kitchen mandoline)
That was at 9 am, it's now 8.15 pm and while the bleeding has slowed it hasn't entirely stopped.
I am wandering around with my arm in a sling strapped high on my chest and doing everything left handed.
DH has done the cooking.
No cards from me today sadly.

Oh no!!! I hope you are feeling better and I’m the mend!!! The good thing about this challenge is that there is no time line. Jump in when you can - I can’t wait to see your project!

I totally missed posting and linking my card here the other day, oops! I am so sorry, because this was a super fun challenge and I made another card, Succulent Birthday. Here is my first card, Celebrate the Season! Thank you so much Lyn for this awesome technique challenge!

Here is a picture of one of the papers that shows the results of my paper towel pressing.

Yikes, Marg. DH always panics when he sees me using the mandolin. Are you sure you didn't need it stitched? I hope it heals up soon for you. Both my mother and my sister sliced the tops of fingers.
