I'm seeing a lot of wonderfully done cards that have added plaid to their design.
With the cold weather arriving and holiday cards being made, I thought this would be a fun and easy challenge for you to try.
So go ahead and create a plaid on your card by stenciling, stamping or by drawing your own plaid background. There is a good tutorial about how to draw/paint your own in the Resource/tutorial section here- Plaid Backgrounds.
After you have it done, grab a black fine-line marker and doodle onto your plaid background. Add lines, dots, shapes anything that embellishes your plaid.
I find that the doodling always adds a fun sense of whimsy.
Be sure to add the keyword TLC714 to your card so it will be added to the gallery.
Fun! I still have my first attempt at embossing folder plaid when I somehow smudged a little pink on the folder, but I might yet use it up later in the week. Thanks, Karen.

I have another one but will have to wait till tomorrow to upload. I kinda goofed because my white pen took up colour from the alcohol inks, and I went over one row with white enamel accents but really they are too thick to control well. But I think it balances the white focal point and I'll be happy to send it to somebody, which is the acid test.
Here is my attempt at making plaid (haha, not sure it is technically) and first doodles... boy do i need practice at this! THANKS for looking and letting me 'play'. HAPPY HALLOWEEN, everyone! Teresa
