I will tell you right up front - this one is a little time consuming, but it's perfect for Labor Day! Haha!
I also LOVED this. It's the first time I have ever done it quite this way, but I had a blast, and I LOVE LOVE the result! Trust me, it will be a labor of love!
What am I talking about? Well, it's the first Monday of the month and that means EVERYTHING OLD IS NEW AGAIN (EOINA)! We revisit a prior TLC Challenge, and hope you will try it for the first time, or the fifth, or however many times!
Today we will revisit TLC470 SERENDIPITY. Sabrina originally posted this back in 2014, and I totally missed it. I have done a Serendipity challenge where it's random, and then the entire thing is clear embossed, but I totally love the tutorial that Sabrina has in TLC470.
She has clear instructions, photos, and some AMAZING gorgeous cards in the Gallery for that challenge. You simply must go see. And you will be inspired as I was, to follow through with this. There are MANY beautiful cards in that gallery by others as well, and I loved their results so much that I knew I wanted to tackle this. The hardest part for me was gluing. Not that gluing is hard, I just got it all over my fingers (no glue stick - used the green Mono Glue). But it was FUN!
And the embossing, and cutting was too. My favorite part was arranging my little squares on my card. I hope you have fun and will play along - even if it takes you two weeks!
This was good for me to practice patience. I did a half sheet on River Rock. While I liked all the paper patterns I chose, I was not impressed with the end results until I die cut some pieces. Here is my Birthday Serendipity.
