I have gotten carried away with my experimenting with Easel Cards. Such a fun technique and now I have 6 T-giving cards made :p. BTW, my DH suggested I use a slit punch tab for the stop.......It worked!
My sister made an easel card for my B-day. I thought it was so cute that I just had to give it a go myself. This is a card that I plan to demo at a workshop. Very easy.
Hi,
Beautiful card! Just received the email from you. Glad to know I'm not the only one that didn't get it after reading the instructions and looking at the sample. I'm not completely lost because I saw it quickly demonstrated by Sara of Crafter's Companion on C&C. Her demos are always so quick, it is hard to get. Since cards like this are so beautiful, a 4x4 (I feel) doesn't give it credit and I'd like to do the 5x5 square or the 6x6 square. I know using the 6x6 will mean a 12x12 cs and I try not to go there unless it is for a special occasion. I understand the top and base need to be the same size (5x5) but I don't understand the entire length of the base...would that be cut 5x10 (5 wide, 10 long) and where would the score lines be?
I've seen this card done in demos several times and hoped someone would come up with instructions or a demo video.
Thanks for doing this for us.

Yay! I finally got to try this! I have wanted to ever since you first posted it! Here is my Thanksgiving Menu! I'm gonna make another one for my MIL for her birthday so she can set it on her coffee table and show her friends! ;) It is her 75th birthday next week!
I just love this style of card. It is now NOT a new technique, as I've used is several times, but here is a sweet little girl card I just completed~ Nanny's Room
I need some help regarding the inside of the easel card. I have noticed that many of the cards have a verse that the cards sit against rather than the brad or button. Is the verse mounted up with foam tape? If this is so how deep is the tape..one or two pieces deep?

Happy New Year and Many Thanks ...
I finally got the hang of the Easel Card. Made several for Christmas and as soon as I get caught up and figure out how to get the photos from my new camera to the computer, I'll share with you.
May God continue to bless you all in every area that concerns you and yours and especially in the world of card making (crafting).
Thanks again.

It was so much fun making this easel. I see myself making a few more and incorporating it with other challenges as I did this one.

Finally I got to make an Easel Card. It was so easy, that I will definitely make some more. It really packs a punch doesn't it? Thanks Lynn for sharing such a great technique with us.
Hi,
I'm Brenda "cardlady46". While I have not posted any of the cards I've made, I can tell you how I did the verse for my cards. I rarely use foam tape, but if that is your choice, then I think the 1" will do. I use the Pinflair Glue Gel (for everything). I decide on the height I want for the verse and place that amount of glue on. If it is too much, then I just smash it down until I have the height I want for the verse. I hope I've been some help. Have a blessed evening.

I finally got an easel card made a few days ago. I knew just what image I wanted and sentiment too- but struggled for several hours trying to decide on what patterned papers to use- trying assorted border punches- UGHHH! (This was one of those cards that took all darn day to make!) I finally just decided on one paper and called it good. Here is my card! Next time I think I'll just stick with basic CS and keep myself from going nuts!!

You did, you did, you DID taw a putty-tat - on my Easel Card. But my cat is far better behaved than Sylvester and wouldn't dream of eating a Tweety-pie! Although she does regularly sneak up on my 16-1/2 yr old dog and boxes her ears (without using claws) - looks very cute.
Sure are loving these Easel Cards - thanks Lynn for sharing the technique with us. It makes me do the inside of the card which would normally be left with just a sentiment and nothing much else.
I really, really LOVE this technique. Really adds a 'WOW' factor to the card and makes me decorate the inside of the card which would otherwise be pretty plain. Thanks Lynn!
Well, I just had to make another Easel card - funny how I forgot about them for so long and then suddenly "re-discovered" them in the past few weeks. They are fun to make and I really love them.
