The bkgd tiles are made per Melody's instructions, and then I glazed the center image and cracked-glassed it.

Wendy...
make sure to put TLC120 (all one word) in the keywords section of your description...that should pull your card up on the gallery search for the challenge!

Jenn D 06-11-2007 01:39 PM

This was fun, although time intensive. Don't know if I'd cut out all of those squares again. I may have to try the scoring technique.

I created the tiles with the polished stone technique and glossy White cs.

I keep seeing tile grid and Scor-Pal, what are these and where do you find them? I like anything that takes less time!!!

O... M... Garsh, Beth! Just got back from Cub Scouts Day Camp. Left this morning at 7a.m. and got home at 5:30p.m. Can't play. Headed over to in-laws to have dinner and pick up DD.

I just had to say O... M... Garsh! This is such a cool technique! I've only had a chance to look at Cammie's sample and I am SO impressed! I can't wait to try it!

Remind me to NEVER attempt to do cracked glass on so many pieces at a time! I loved this challenge, though! Thanks, Beth!

I went out on a limb and made a card thats so far from my usual style for this one. I had in my head what I wanted to make and it didn't quite pan out then I saw this set on my desk and knew I had to use it for tiles. It would make some cool coasters for sure!

This was my first time trying tiles using the scoring technique and it turned out cool and I learned some stuff! Love it! Thanks for the challenge.

Clownmom 06-11-2007 05:58 PM

After throwing away the ugliest card I have ever created, I started again from scratch -- well, almost from scratch, I used the same colors. I'm a little happier with this one -- http:////www.splitcoaststampers.com/...0&ppuser=72594

BrandiP 06-11-2007 06:39 PM

My first challenge EVER! Not perfect, but I'm glad I stretched myself to try something new! I can't get the picture to link, the site seems to be acting wonky and giving me an error message that just isn't right. But, great challenge!

I made two cards for the challenge. I actually made three cards today, first cards I have made for awhile. even though it took me all day long off and on. Here is COOPER'S CARD and CALE'S CARD Thanks for looking..

bekster 06-11-2007 07:19 PM

I was just looking at all the variations of tile effects and thought I would share this scrapbook page I have in my gallery from several years ago.
I didn't cut anything to make the tiles, except a piece of foam which I used to stamp colors to look like mosaics.
http:////www.splitcoaststampers.com/...0&ppuser=23376
I know it's not what the challenge is, but it was fun to do at the time.
I am looking forward to trying the methods described here, but just haven't been in a stamping mood lately.

Angela R. 06-11-2007 07:29 PM

thanks soooo much, Beth, this was fun and so easy!!! http:////www.splitcoaststampers.com/...0&ppuser=71773
