Kids took a Loooong nap today and was able to work on some of the challenges!
Here's my entry for the wax paper resist. I wanted to see if I could do it on tags. I could, but the look is much subtler than it would be when you do it on glossy.

It was fun and easy to do. I really like all the different ideas that I learn from in these weekly techniques. Thank you everyone for all the stimulating creativity.

Oh, man! I want to play along but that would mean pulling out my iron from whereever it is buried in my closet. I'm afraid if I do, I might be expected to actually use it on clothes! We'll see if I can get that motivated. I'm loving everyone else's contributions though.

I found my travel iron (who irons while on vacation???) and just keep it in my craft room for this technique!
I'll post some cards tomorrow!

Here's mine! I played with this some using regular cardstock too. The first link is using white glossy paper. The second link is using Creamy Caramel cardstock. It looks really cool also if you iron the wax paper on cardstock and do not put any ink on it. Gives it a Versamark effect.

I was so lucky!! I was just reading this challenge and thought about getting the iron out when DH yelled out "Hon, I'm going to go IRON my uniform - do you need anything pressed?" hee hee hee - I had him do a couple of sheets of glossy with the wax paper for me - he just looked at me like I had 2 heads! ;) I combined this one with the color combo challenge:

I wonder if it would work to layer the wax between two sheets of cardstock and use a heat tool?

Here's mine. I didn't have any white glossy cardstock, but I have a huge supply of gold left over from a failed Christmas card design. The only ink that showed up well on it was black, though.

Technique #08 - Wax Paper Resist
I don't have anything to upload, but when you use blues (especially the Spectrum Blue Frost) it looks great with all the snowflake or snowman stamps!

Wax resist
I have never tried this technique, but have seen it before. It looks difficult but was really easy. Here is my try at it:
