Hello fellow Teapotters! I'm back at home after a wonderful 2 weeks with my Mom.
I don't post my cards because in the past when I have tried to post the cards on SCS, a screen comes up and tells me that the card isn't the right size. I tried a lot of things to remedy this, and can't. When I first got my Canoon Power Shot camera, it worked just fine, I was able to load several cards ( go to redcaboose 1717 gallery ).....it has been quite awhile since I have been able to upload cards.
I contacted SCS, and was told to follow the directional threads they listed ( in the reply e-mail ) and when I clicked on the instrucional e-mail, you have to go thru FACEBOOK to upload your photos !
The problem is that my DH Is a SECURITY FREAK...and doesn't like FACEBOOK AT ALL...period. Although he has told me if I want to have a FB account, it isn't any problem...BUT as we ALL know, if DH makes comments like this, and something were to go wrong with the FB I would never, ever hear the end of it ! LOL!
Any suggestions ! ??? Of course Dear "mudder" Cindy has graciously offered to upload any of my cards for the teapotters challenges, and while she is sweet to offer to do this for me each week, I would love to fins out why I can't do this imyslef (?)
could it be the camera I am using ?

Do any of you have any suggestions ? Could my DH have some security on my laptop, so I can't uploaod photos any longer ( he says he doesn't but lately I also find that when I go to other sites, I often can't sign in ......grrrrr.......

I am also willing to change cameras.....and wouldn't mind suggestions for this either. Just remember, when making suggestions about digital cameras for me, make sure the camera you are suggesting is USER FRIENDLY. I have put off purchasing another Camera because I am unsure, and wonder if this problem is a SCS problem or my camera's problem !

Do you have Print Shop or Photo shop on your computer? Some program like this, where you can resize your photos? I could be very wrong, but it is something of this nature that you will need if you do not already have it. There you can adjust the colors and size of your photos, thus being able to upload onto SCS.
Jacqueline, if you don't have one of those programs in your computer, you can go to: Web Resizer - Making Photos Faster - Optimize pictures for websites and email You can resize your photos without losing quality, and you can even crop them. After you do that, save the resized one and use it to upload to SCS.

Jennifer, no I don't have PrintShop.....but have thought about purchasing it ....I used to have PrintShop,but then again, DH is really "weird" about even that.....I guess I am just going to have to do my own thing on my laptop, after all, it is my laptop, and if I screw it up ( he doesn't like a lot of programs....geez, he doesn't even e-mail that much ! )

Just so you know that your husband isn't the only one, I also refuse to use/login/join Facebook. My Olympus camera is set to take high quality pictures and I also have to 'downsize' my pictures. Your Cannon should have come with an editing program to allow you to resize and edit your photos. If not, maybe you can go to Cannons website and see if they have an online editing program you can use.

Hi there! Good advice here! Yep, that is what I use...our camera came with software and in that softward, it allows you to resize.....its very confusing! All this technology. And I am right there with you, I am no a facebooker, no way no how! Ha!
