This is my story!

1. Somebody just keeps throwing teapots in front of me that have black and white polka dots on them! Hey, I know you all might be getting tired of the dots, but what's a teapotter dotter to do? I could not resist this one....didn't I say that about the last one? Snort! I found myself thinking, hey it's got stripes! People will not notice the black and white dots, its all about the stripes!

2. Now if you ask me, it would be an honor to have this Court Jester's cap bestowed upon one's head! Someone worthy of the honor that it is! Someone who's earned it, you know playing the fool, making people laugh, a goofball as we know it! How would one go about getting this most prestigious honor? Well, if it were me, I would go to Jester College, The University of Fools, The School of Shenannigans! Some place like that to get an education! Hey, haven't you always heard that if you wanna be somebody you gotta getta education? Well, there ya go! We are off to Jester School!

3. Meet Lester Chester, The Jester Tester! Otherwise known as the Teacher, Instructor, Professor of the Court! He is not only the best Court Jester that ever was but he also has a real knack for teaching his craft and identifying talent in his field! It is also his job every year to identify the recipient of the year's top honor, a most coveted annual award! He is working hard to identify this year's most likely to succeed Court Jester and the proud recipient of the 2011 Lester Chester Joyful Jingling Jester Cap of Accomplishment! But, there's just not that much talent here this year! He is stressed and struggling, sorta not so joyful!! Ester Chester, Lester Chester, the Jester Tester's wife, is becoming quite tired of his foul moods!

He's supposed to be fun! She just wants him happy again and she thinks she knows just what to do to help him get back to a more jester-like mood! A young student named Joyful Jake has captured her heart and he just needs a wee widdo bitta help to get him in the running for the award! That's where we come in! Go figure!

4. For the Sake of Jake , let's have some fun! It's all about being funny, getting a smile from the crowd, a burst of laughter, a tickle in the tummy, a gleeful giggle or even a snickering snort! Ha ha! For the Sake of Jake , let's bring riddles, jokes, funny looking characters, corny stuff is not so tough!! For the Sake of Jake , let's bring hats that jingle, shoes with curled up toes, funny looking jester clothes! Make a funny, make a joke, its our job to entertain the folk! Make em giggle with a wiggle, make em laugh on your behalf! Diamond Shapes, Superman Capes! Bright and Cheerful, Nothing Tearful! Something Fun, Something Happy, Something Pop, Crackle and Snappy! Let's have fun, For the Sake of Jake!

Oh, I almost forgot to mention, there are extra cookies available! Yep! For the Sake of Jake , Ester Chester has promised a most delightful tea and has wonderful cookies to share! You get extra if you bring a joke or riddle tucked inside your card. But, you might have to come in the back door if you begin our joke and then can't remember the punch line! Hey, it happens!!!


CHALLENGE TRANSLATION:
Make a comical card! Just be inspired by the teapot and by the job of a Court Jester! Use happy images, comical images, jingle bells, bright colors, cheerful critters, colorful characters, anything that will bring a smile or a burst of laughter! Make it happy, make it fun!

DESTINATION STATION:
This week's destination is Myersville, Maryland. If you would like a destination for your card this week, how about sending it to Jake, a 13 year old boy who has had multiple surgeries since his birth. He's a wonderful, happy, fun-loving little kid that just has had too much surgery in his young life. Can you imagine having more surguries than the years of your life? Jake just celebrated his 13th birthday on July 8th and surgery #17 is on the schedule. His entire summer will be consumed with recovery and he will need some happy mail!
