Welcome, Kim. You've come to a great community filled to the brim with great artists who are willing to help anyone. Pinkblack should be an easy name for me to remember. They're my favorite colors. Being an empty nester lends itself to embracing your love to swap cards. I'll look forward to seeing your cards in the gallery.

Hello Kim from Indiana. Welcome to the status of empty nester. As in my case, more time to make cards . Can't wait to see your cards.

Welcome and have fun with this next stage in your life. However, I have to warn you that some of us have found that the empty nest gets "refilled" from time to time. We've had some that went and came back, and then went again.
Also, we have grandkids that have come to roost from time to time.

Hi Kim - I live in Virginia now, but until we moved here 12-ish years ago, I lived in Maryland my whole life!

I grew up in Mongomery County, spent a little time in Howard and P.G. County years ago, and until moving here was back in Montgomery. You? : )

I wish we were a little closer! But you're less than an hour from The Queens Ink in Savage, at the old Savage Mill - worth a visit even aside from QI. They're an amazing shop with some unusual workshops - from stamping to mixed media and Gelli plating (50 Shades of Play).
Even the basic stamping class is super. For example, we stamped the same image on about six different types of paper; the results varied considerably. I have to plan on two plus hours to get there in case of bad traffic, but it's so worth it now and then.
