Friends are like the walls of a house. Sometimes they hold you up, sometimes you lean on them. But sometimes, it's enough to know they're just standing by.
Thanks, I see you're from Allendale....I'm from the Lapeer area over East of Flint. Algonac originally. Looking forward to chatting!
My sis lives in Saginaw. She has an Alpaca Farm! I headed there for the 4th of July weekend to stamp our hearts out! I've got her hooked, but she's smarter than me. She lets me buy everything then has me load my car up with everything for her to use! Maybe I should start charging her to cover my fees... LOL

Hello from Holland, MI! I love SCS ~ it has really inspired me to stamp more, rather than let all my stamps and supplies collect dust. I "used to be" too busy to stamp, but now I make the time for it. In fact, I just signed up to be a SU demo this week, mostly thanks to SCS for getting me fired up. I am so excited (still waiting anxiously for my kit to arrive)!

Way to go! Good luck at being a SU Demonstrator. I have two friends who are demonstrators and I help them out sometimes with ideas and stuff...too fun!!

Yes, I agree.
It helps cheer up others. One lady I know, recieved a flood of cards (she is very ill) she kept reading them and looking at them over and over. Sending a card, tells the other person "I care about you and I am thinking about you", when they are very sad, sick or feeling lonely. It can also add to a celebration. I just sent my neice one for her college graduation and she was so thrilled! She carried it around in her purse and showed her friends. It also makes the sender feel good too! Yes Cards are terrific!
Hi all ... I'm originally from North Branch (the original poster of this thread is my sister-in-law -- she introduced me to SCS and she's responsible for my stamping and scrapbooking habits , I went to Saginaw Valley State University ... nice to see so many people from both of my "former" homes. I still love the Saginaw area. Wouldn't mind living back that way someday. I currently live in the middle of the state in a VERY small town called Six Lakes. Yes there are six lakes here, but that's about it.
Another Michigander whats to give a shout out!!!! I am from Newport-- a little south of Detroit and a little north of Ohio border and I-75 passes right through our once rural country side. Now we have a Taco Bell and a Burger King WOW and each one is connected to a gas station :0}. I love SCS but don't say/share a whole lot but welcome!!

LOL....I'm sitting here wondering IF I should invite myself to their stamping fest, I already know where I have to go.....LOL.....>
Thanks for the giggle!! I wouldn't mind but I dont' know about my sis! I'm more of the free spirit than she is! All I'm gonna say is "Swan Creek Rd"?????? LOL

OMG, you're gonna make me pull out the atlas.....LOL
OK, Clare is still north of Mt. Pleasant (half way point)....it looks like Clare is about 30 miles north of Alma!! Clare is where I-127 and M-10 meet!!
YES, this store is a store you HAVE to visit at least once!! Besides all the stamps she has, she also sells the Twinkling H2O's, Pearl X individual containers, Dreamweaver Stencils and Pastes, and the Art Institute Glitter, Acetate and glues, Lyra WaterColor Crayons...none of which I can find throughout the Tri-Cities!! Oh, I found one of the GIGA Scalloped Oval Craft Punch....LOL Oh, plus when you buy 12 stamps, she takes the average cost of them and you get a free stamp of equal or lesser value!! Since I told her I was coming back, she set me up as a customer and that way, I won't buy the same stamp twice through her! Neat huh?!!
The front of the store has hand made candles (I think made by the Omish), Boyd Bear Collections, (gosh, I wish I payed more attention...lol) she had one aisle of all the University's...U of M, M State, CMU.....dang, I'm drawing a blank on what I seen....LOL Anyway, the back of the store is all stamps and stamping/scrapping supplies. The other half of her store is YARNS and patterns and needles!! Anyway, you really need to see this place for yourself.....You'll LOVE it!!

Looks like I'll be hitting Jack's Produce/Meat Market when I get there -BEST chicken breasts and beef around! and I'll have to do a road trip to Clare on the way home. My two loves are stamping and knitting/crocheting!! Sounds like my kind of store!
