Hi Everyone! Sorry I have not had a chance to comment as much as I would like this past week.
Last Thursday morning our sweet kitty, Angel had to be put to sleep and tomorrow my hubby will be having his bladder and prostate removed. I have more information about both on my blog (if interested)- see the link in the photo.
I finally had a chance to use an Anna Griffin set that I bought over a year ago to create this card:
Thank you so much Julie for this challenge. It has really helped me to look at what I already have and try to use it...Not that I will EVER deplete my supplies.
Made this stack of quick cards using one of a few sheets of Asian themed wrapping paper my MIL gave to me thinking they were great for cards. I will be making a few more stacks of these cards to get the different papers used up from my stack of items I am trying to use up.
I haven't been able to make cards or stay up on this thread the last couple of months but this past weekend I was able to make some cards...I've enjoyed using what I have (though I was at a store recently that was closing and I did make some purchases of ribbon, never can have too much ribbon in my opinion) and have decided I prefer certain paper...that made me step back and wonder if I have become a paper snob?
Here is a card I made using scraps and stamp from Verve.
Aw...finally a card! The items that are old but brand new that I have had for over two years and never opened the packages are the Beautiful Bouquet stamps and Bouquet Bunch framelits, plus the iridescent goosebumps and satin ribbon...yikes!!! It's about time!
I finally have a chance to post a few cards that I have created recently- this one uses the long retired SU! Summer by the Sea, retired Verve Stamps sentiment as well as a SU! 3D embossing folder (first time using but owned for over a year), retired SU! DSP and button.
My hubby is getting stronger with each passing day so I hope to be able to spend more time online in the galleries checking out your beautiful creations soon!
Most of my online time lately has been on a site called Inspire.com (a cancer discussion forum similar to those here on SCS but about different types of cancer). If you know anyone going through cancer, let them know about this site.
They have groups for each type of cancer- Breast, Bladder, Lung, Brain, Lymphoma, etc. It is free and the discussions are from real people who have been through the surgery, chemo, etc. Invaluable to get information that the surgeons or nurses do not even know (since most of them have not experienced the actual cancer).
Hugs and thanks again for all of your thoughts, kind words and prayers! You are all such great friends and an inspiration to me!
Finally having a chance to create a few cards- here is another one using the long ago retired set, Seaside Sketches along with retired Stipple Shells and a Wplus9 sentiment (also retired). I pulled out some old designer paper and used an older EF as well :-)
Finally used the last of these wedding ring stickers and the last two bakers twine flowers off my desk for today's FS challenge. Made 2 cards to get these items used up.
Wow! A lot of activity. I have to go check!
Here is a page using some chipwood I have had for years, and all kinds of stash, not to mention photos three years old! LOL
Pulled out this super old set from the now defunct Stepping Stones Design to beef up my birthday card stash a bit. One set is more preppy looking and the other set screams Summer fun. TFL.
