I thought of giving it a try but I've been pretty busy with this thread and errands and haven't had any time.
Sheri- I have been working on an Art Journal Page for the Mix4.. I love that stuff but Feel that my stuff is' nt the greatest.. soooo if I get brave and post it... then I will be able to say.. yep I am in that challenge.lol... I have done al lot of folk art type and it is hard for me to be abstract.. but would love to learn.. so come on let's do it!!!!!!
I've done a couple of the mixability challenges; I have some masking fluid, will go read about that challenge before I go to bed. Going away for a weekend getaway to a stamp show this weekend and just finished packing the craft supplies for the project I'll work on Saturday night. Will be home late Sunday evening.
Here is my version of this weeks challenge the Tea Bag Folder. I have adapted the folder to hold Ghirardelli chocolates as I don't own any tea. I am delivering my package to a friend today, she is preparing to take a french exam for work and I am there to give her a tiny distraction.
I watched a couple and either I didn't use the right kind of ink or it wasn't completely dry cuz when I tried to rub off the masking, it rubbed my ink off too and the images became a blob of unrecognizeable somethings....will investigate and try some more...

Thinking good thoughts for you, Lynn!
Thanks for keeping us updated. This too shall pass. Soon, you'll be moved and getting settled. Keep in touch.
To day I hope to get my masking done.. i prefer cutting out the image and using it as the mask.. but I do not mind fussy cutting, I know some just hate doing that... and I do not have any masking fluid either.
LYNN Hang in there... To night you will be moved yehhhhhhhhh..... then comes the fun of unpacking.. Thinking of you today......
todays trial with masking fluid is going better. The one thing that will keep me from using it often is the drying time....but we'll see how this one turns out in the end...
wow...and it's almost time for another challenge here....whooot!!!
Back from card class! The cards we did are pretty. I will take pictures and post some later today or tomorrow. Need to eat something since we only had party food.
Has anyone heard from Angie? She is supposed to be hostess next week and I see she hasn't posted a card in three weeks. Does anyone know if she's ok and if she still plans to host the challenge??
How is the move going, it looks like you had okay weather for the move. Remember your priorities, unpack one box in the craft room, one box in the kitchen, one box in the craft room, one box in the kitchen, one box in the craft room, one box in the kitchen, one box in the craft room, one box in the bedroom, you get the idea. Let me know if you want help.
I think I will stick to paper masking, I think I will stick to cutting out my images and masking them the old fashion way. Besides I own a small box of post it notes that I should use up.
Dea.

It must have been a busy week for a lot of people as all was pretty quiet this week... Hope you were able to track down Angie, Kathy.
Thanks Lisa for the tea bag holders.. was a great challenge...
I have so many cards piling up for some reason so need to get them bundled up to give away....
I have been making envelops..(and being cheap like I am. I hate making the card stock envelops that just get pitched right away... weight more etc... see what i mean....) I have tried making them out of just writing paper and then putting a fancy stamp on them or whatever. I even found some light weight colored paper at the dollar store and like them as well ... will see what feed back I get.... or if people will even notice.... Will have to send one or too off to people I know will give me truthful feed back.... I really do not want to be TOO cheap... cheap.... cheap.... lol
I am the same way. We are so limited for craft stores that I hate using my paper when there are alternatives. I utilize the dollar store paper as often as possible. They get some great patterned paper that can be used for envelopes.
Good idea to use the cheaper paper for the homemade envelopes. Let us know what kind of feedback you receive about that idea, Marion.
And, watch that "fowl language". Cheap, cheap, cheap
Hope everyone is having a lovely Sunday afternoon. We're having a restful day after such a busy week. My DH is napping where I have my craft area, so I can't stamp. Oh well. Back to it tomorrow.
Who, who, who got it? Yes, Kathy did! I knew you would!
Yes, but it took me a while. I went back into her post to see what "fowl" language she might have used! I missed your "cheap, cheap, cheap" first time around! LOL
I'm not sure if Lynn will make it in to draw a chatterbox winner, so I went to random generator and put in the numbers for a winner. If Lynn does too, then we will have two chatterboxes this week. Otherwise, the winner is....2 points to Sheri!
I haven't heard anything from Angie, but I do have some irons in the fire, as they say. Just waiting on a PM. No need to fret, we WILL have a challenge by tomorrow.
By the way, where's Paola? I don't think she's chatted all week with us and I miss her!

Just sent you a PM Kathy!
Was gone all weekend and literally, just got home! Had a fun getaway with a friend; we went to the stamp show and I have a "boat load" of goodies to unpack! I ordered the envelope punch thingy from one of the vendors...he said they have 700 orders and only 200 punch thingies arriving this week and more in April!!! This has ended up being a very popular tool!
Okay, gonna unpack and put my feet up for a few minutes!
Welcome home Vickie! You rest up. You're up to bat next week for the challenge! Ladies, since we haven't heard from Angie in three weeks, I'm putting in a pinch hitter! (Don't you just love my baseball terms? Especially since I know NOTHING about baseball!) I will be back later to announce who's doing the challenge this week.
Welcome home Vickie...I'm thinking about ordering one of those envie punch thingies...I usually use cheep (lol) envies also but sometimes my cards just don't fit reg envies well and cheep-er to make them than to buy a bunch in a size I won't use.
Welcome home Vickie, I hope you have time to rest up and tell us all about your trip and your purchases.
Dea

Attention Ladies: Due to Angie's absence, our guest challenge host this week will be the awesome hostess with the mostess....Dea! She will be in later with your new challenge. There is still time to get those tea bag holders finished for points!
With Easter and spring break at the schools just around the corner I think this weeks challenge should be the creation of a box, basket or candy holder of some type.
This challenge does not have to include a card but if you make a matching card or tag you will get two extra points.
Here are some links to get your creative juices flowing:
Thanks Dea for the challenge. I sure hope my brain works this week! Will see what I can come up with. I will update my link to the new gallery, once there is a card in the new gallery.
