Good evening ladies!! Nothing has gone in the trash yet!! Just into a purging box, and yup, you're right mom......no re-inkers went into the recycle box....lol. I'm back at it again this evening.....took last night off.....I know! Slacker! Perhaps I'll have to see if I have some shaving cream hidden down there too.....wouldn't surprise me in the least....lol
Well good evening Yvonne. We thought maybe you got lost in your toy room. LOL
It's good to see you on when you have a minute here and there. We all know you are one busy lady. So just pop in now and then to say hi.
I am so pleased nothing has gone in the trash..... save it till we all get there girl!!
Been trying to make some things this morning, but don't seem to be able to get anywhere, everything is project type and taking longer... nothing quick here.
Well, just got home from a meeting... but had a fun afternoon.. I did the shaving cream background and used my acrylic paint and I kind of like it.. I think I used too much shaving cream as I got about 8 backgrounds... I did smaller ones but it is a neat effect. Then I tried the eggshell thing.. and tried alcohol inks which was not too bad but all I can say is this is NOT a thing I will try again........ Now all I have to do is make the cards...
Oh my Marion well done.... but Yvonne will love those Alcohol inks when you give them to her..... they are very different I admit and I cannot say I do not like them....
I like anything and everything in my craft room. At the moment I am making my scrap bin look pretty, Ihave realised that even though I decorate cards and mini books like crazy, nothing in my room is nice and pretty, or decorated ... and it should be!!!
I am still going to do the eggshell thing even tho I am too late, but I don't think it is something I will do again either. Just cleaning the eggshell is enough to turn me off.
I think you ladies have helped me in deciding I don't want to try the eggshell technique.....lol. Beautiful card Kathy, I left you some love. Can't wait to see your decorated scrap bin Lauren! Great idea! I'm off to start my day. It's suppose to be raining with some areas forecasted with that ugly white stuff! Ugh....
This one of the Shaving Cream backgrounds that I did yesterday.. I really like the muted colors.. Picture is not the greatest .. Can't seem to get the right light.. I keep thinking I will make one of those light boxes but have no idea where I would store it......
Bit quiet on the mix it up...... I am making the eggshell background again, yes I am having fun with it... doing smaller shaped pieces and want to gold emboss the edges and finish with Glossy Accents this time to make some pins or smaller embellishments with flowers and ribbon on them. I like the finish, but not all over a card, smaller accents look fantastic!!!
Oh did you all know I love making embellishments??????
Lauren... I know you make embellishments and good on you.. I would love to do that but I do not have all the extra little accents that you have... Would love to see some of the embellishments you make... Can that be your next tutorial.....
Bythe way Good morning to you all...... Sun is shining but we did have some mild frost this morning.... Beautiful fall colors are evident so winter is in the air..... I do love the fall and the color
Egg shell..... I found a really neatt shrinky dink trick yesterday....that I want to tootie, more wire too.... some background stuff, some stamping backgrounds.... some everything, I love playing and sharing and you girls make that so easy for me. Thank you girls, love you all!!
Donna and Marion, did you know a tootie takes time??? and preparation too..... time time, I need an 8 day week then I could make that extra day a play and tootie day!!!
So time is what is needed. That is a hard one... and so darn frustrating..... but... but... if you could just throw one in once in awhile... Yvonne too.. both have got all that technology down and all.... yeh I know I am just yattering away to hear my self cause I am tired and don't want to do anything.....
It is warm here and time for a ceiling fan turned on, and I just watched a cat hair tumbleweed roll across the room..... oh my I think it is time to sweep..... hate that!!
Yeah, I finally had to break down and scrub my kitchen floor. 2 little ones in the house almost 24-7 and I am NOT used to the messes. Messes....I mean tornados:(
Exactly, you need them on your blog quite regularly I am thinking..... I have finally learnt to do the editing and voice over on mine on my computer, so just have to make my first one to put on my blog.... don't tell Donna, Lynn or Kathy, they will nag me to death...
I heard that! LOL Ohhhhhhhh, now I can't wait So hurry up and do one will ya! JK when you have time. Besides the anticipation is all part of the fun, right?
I didn't tell on you Lauren!!! Honestly, I didn't!! I enjoy doing the YouTube videos and usually don't have a clue just what things to do tutorials on! I still have to learn how to do the voice overs. Haven't played with that one yet or the ones where they show the whole creative process of the project and then fast forward it. I'm open o ideas on just what to do a video tutorial on though!!
I'm off to get ready for the day.....TGIF!!! Oh! And Happy Thanksgiving weekend to my Canadian friends!
Thanks Kathy, but it wasn't the Rigging Know, I don't know what it is called so I couldn't look it up. Maybe Lynn knows?!?!?!? But thanks guys, love ya
