Ann, that list looks awesome! I'm hoping to get them all done this round. The first will be either a day early or be late because my colonoscopy is the 5th. I'd rather do cards! LOL
Hi everyone! I've been busy with house work, laundry, cooking, you know the drill. Shirl, I'm with you, tired of cooking! Unfortunately, we still need to eat.
Thanks, Ann, for the new round. I love techniques, such fun.
I'm past due for making bread so that is on the agenda today too.
I'm wondering if our old neighbor is ok. He and his wife moved several years ago, but they kept the house out here. My best friend lived there when we were growing up. The neighbor usually comes out every so often to mow. It's a big lot. Today two trucks are down there. There is a man on a tractor mowing, a man push mowing and a woman using the weed wacker. A couple of weeks ago the neighbor brought one of his cars out and left it there. He had it brought on a roll back so I assume his wife isn't driving because the car works. He moved it after the rollback left. I saw them that day so I know they were both ok. Maybe he decided to hire someone to mow it. I always figured if his wife passed before him, he'd move back. He didn't seem in a hurry to sell it but I know he loved it out here. I think his wife is the one who wanted to move to town. She always talked like they wanted to sell it, but he never did.
Kathy, my DH is at the hardware store trying to buy a part for our weed wacker....we are overdue for using it!
Your former neighbors sound like our former landlords. His wife wanted to move to town (they didn't live far from us and it was only 10 min. or so to get to town) and he liked it in the "country." As far as I know, they are still about 10 min. from town, seems close enough to me!
I hope your neighbor is OK, he probably just hired someone else to take of the mowing.
The neighbor is ok. He showed up a while ago. He's not mowing but there are two guys and two women. I know he has a son because he worked with my brother. Looks like they are almost done. Doesn't take long when you have four people working on it.
Thank you, Ann! Love these challenges. The best part is we don’t have to think of something for each letter! It is already done! LOL
I mailed my teapotter card already this morning. I even did the FS card yesterday! I used white sticklers on black and it turned green! What? Has that happened to anyone! I posted my card anyway. LOL. I almost have my alpha card done for Wednesday!
We will be doing some Spring cleaning today. I didn’t walk early today, maybe later as it is cool.
Great challenges, Ann. A question..........do copics count as alcohol inks? I don't have any bottles of the other stuff.
I mailed my Teapotter card today too, Sharon. I'm waiting to findout if copics will be ok.......then I'll combine the "A" with the sketch, like I did all the last alpha challenge.
Some yard work is on the schedule for today, as soon as it's dry enough. More rain tonight, and the rest of the week as well.
Leftovers tonight for dinner......cooked up a lot of chicken yesterday. Think I'll add some broccoli and cheese ravioli to round it out. Yum. I had breakfast at 5:30 this morning, and talking about food makes me want lunch!!
Have a great day, all!!!

I'm trying to get stuff done around here because tomorrow is prep day and Wednesday is colonoscopy. I got the challenge done early but will wait and post it late tomorrow. Won't feel like doing anything on Wednesday and maybe even Thursday.
Good morning! Busy day yesterday, I got the bread made, some laundry done, kitchen cleaned, grading done, a card for Wednesday's sketch challenge (that I might change a little). I'm thinking about the alcohol ink challenge for this week, so many possibilities!
DH went and rented a weed whacker and went to town with it. It looks like we need to buy a more powerful weed whacker than what we have. The one he rented is more like what we need to be able to clear around our house for a fire break. Honey is happy because her enclosure where she does her outside business is all weed whacked now. Things were taller than her out there!
I'm glad your neighbor was OK, Kathy. And prayers for your colonoscopy prep and procedure.
Sharon, I haven't had that happen - although I don't have many stickles and don't use what I have very often - but turning green sounds perfect!
Anne, I love leftovers! And combining challenges too.
Ann, sorry to hear that Athena is at it again. Yay for your son bringing breakfast!
Hi all you lovely, busy peeps! You must be busy as there isn't much chat going on.
I haven't seen a post from Kandie in a while, I hope they are OK.
It was an uneventful day at work. They have begun construction on the new office space (just an interior move but need to rearrange things a bit to get set up). I'm losing my absolute favorite work station when we move over there...sadly. I'll also be in closer quarters with the church secretary and I already think we are too close together! Oh well, it is what it is.
We had a great time at the wedding- it was in Chicago-South side near the White Sox park- beautiful church! My nephew and his bride had a small immediate family only reception in their back yard. We had a great time- my 2 sisters and one brother were there.
Sunday, did chores, piano, etc...and then headed down to Chicago to see Katie- about 45-60 minutes depending on traffic. Traffic was really busy! We walked to a nearby restaurant and had a great dinner.
I did something pretty dumb- when I got home and after the news, I decided to answer a genealogy question from a DNA match...... I have lots of info about the family and tried to get our scanner to work with no avail- stayed up way too late! Way too late! Hubby tackled the issue this AM and it turns out- we have a new Wifi since we set it up, so I just needed to turn that off (I would never have figured that out).! So, got the info scanned and sent to the family- they live in Ireland : )
Will be in the craft room tomorrow (finally) and hope I find the Mojo and am able to create LOTS!!!
Good morning! Goodness, allergies are REALLY bad this morning. My nose is on hyper production mode...help!
Oh, today is "May the fourth be with you day!" for any Star Wars fans.
Where is everyone this morning? What are you all up to? I'm trying to drink my coffee (it's a little too hot right now), checking in here, and then headed to work. It has definitely warmed up here. Tomorrow is supposed to be the low 90s down the hill at work.
I played with alcohol inks last night...haven't done that in a while. Thanks for the challenge, Ann! (Of course, I could have used one of my panels from my stash!)
Shelly, I'm glad you had a good time at the wedding and with family. As for turning the scanner off and starting it again, that is the universal first step to fix anything techy! (I call it the Microsoft solution!)
Hope you are all doing well and having fun getting inky!
I'm here. Just not feeling well. I've only taken the pills so far and already feel like I might be sick. The miralax starts at 6. I got white grape juice to mix it with. The first few cups are yummy.
Prayers for you Kathy. The prep is definetly a drag.
We walked in a wonderful park on Sunday. Redwood Park. Huge area, beautiful trees, lots of families in picnic areas. Lots of trails. One area had little differently painted birdhouses that people leave there. Apparently there is a fairy forest area but we did not come upon it. Some trees were named like Cedar of Lebanon, so made me think of Psalms. Looked for it and it was Ps. 104:16.
Monday, I did not do much, kept napping in my chair or spending time on the computer.
Today we walked locally and I picked up some 99% alcohol to try a technique. Will post it tomorrow.
rainy day here...again. I must admit it's making my hosta come up 4 or 5 inches every day! Wow!
Shirl, I envy your walks. When you live in a small town there's not much to do but walk!
So glad to have the new alpha challenge begin, and combine it with the SC. a twofer for sure. Thanks, Ann!!!!!
Good luck on that colonoscopy today....so glad I don't have to have them any more. One benefit of being old!!! Glad the wedding was nice.
Catherine, I can almost smell that bread baking....best smell in the world.
DGD Erin is getting married next May. Saw a great dress on our IC site and ordered it. Hoping it will be as nice as in the advert!
Have a great day everyone. I will be playing games on the computer, watching baseball, and doing sudokos with DH - in other words, just relaxing (and doing a little laundry). I love rainy days.

Hello everyone, happy hump day. Noon is the hump of the hump, just so you know.
Got to see my granddaughters over the weekend so I'm a happy grandma. I'm so crazy about them. They don't like it when I leave but I always say 'if I don't leave, I can't come back.' It was so hot there, almost 90 and I didn't pack correctly. The heat really got to me...way tooooo early for that nonsense.
Had a virtual visit with my pulmonologist yesterday. I've been using a cpap since April 2020 and it is going very well. Makes so much difference. I didn't realize how badly I was sleeping. I thought it ironic that I had to wear a mask to sleep and a mask to leave the house, all in one year.
Meeting a friend for coffee in a couple of hours. She is having a knee replacement on Monday and I'm going to treat her. She doesn't know that yet.
Have a good day, everyone. Hope the colonoscopy goes well, Kathy. Just had mine the end of March. Good to have that done and boy, do you feel clean and empty!!!!
Shelly, I admire you for your dedication to the piano. Much harder to learn as an adult.
I know I missed stuff...thinking of you all.

Morning! No crafting for me today unless it is rest time in-between moving stuff for the new flooring coming in next week! What a mess! It will be a weekend of painting and shifting stuff around!
Kathy, thinking of you and praying all goes well! Rest up today!
Jean, always great to see the grandkids! Sorry that you were roasting!
Hi Anne, sounds like a great day of relaxing with the rain!
Good morning! It is going to be a hot one today here. Jean mentioned Hump Day and that is what today is for us weather wise too. Today is the warmest day of the week - if the weather guessers are correct.
DD1 called 911 yesterday on her way home (she pulled off the freeway first) because she saw a semi rolling down the freeway smoking because it was on fire. Fortunately, others had called it in as well. They got it out and contained the vegetation fire it started. She had to be at work before me today and, fortunately, left early. She just called to tell me that they are doing clean up from that fire so there is a back up on the freeway and I now know to get off. Helpful tip!
Shirl, that sounds like a fabulous place to walk!
Anne, rain sounds wonderful. We need it desperately - like always. I hope your dress is as wonderful in real life too. That would be nice to have that already lined up for the wedding. Congrats to your DGD.
Yay for seeing your granddaughters, Jean, no yay for almost 90 degree weather though. In Wisconsin?
Wow, Ann, new flooring? So awesome! I would like to get new flooring throughout this house. It is on the lengthy list. Are you doing multiple rooms? What kind of flooring are you putting in? Questions, I have questions!
Kathy, I hope the rest of your prep went better and that your procedure is over and you are safely back home.
Everything went well but they never let me sleep long enough! No polyps this time but still diverticulosis. I arrived at the center early and got checked in. Then all of a sudden things sped up. Apparently the person ahead of me didn't have all the proper paperwork and they had to wait so I was next. So I had a team of speeding bunnies hooking up leaders, IV, going over questions, blood pressure cuff, oxygen thingies, etc. They were all super nice and the one nurse said I know it feels like we're rushing but we will take any time you need for questions or concerns. The doc even came in to see me and go over things that he usually does in the room. He said something about a tire and lube job and I said yes but I'm high mileage! He laughed like crazy. The last thing I remember is the anesthesiologist telling me I will start to feel sleepy. Then the first thing I remember is a nurse asking if my blood pressure normally runs low. They've asked me that before and it does. She said she'd go over the discharge instructions again and I said I don't remember her going over them the first time! She said good, then you don't remember me getting in your face trying to wake you. Nope. This is the best sleep I have had in a long time. Just not nearly long enough! Would like to bottle some of that and take it home. I ate a light lunch and then fell asleep watching tutorials. Only slept an hour and a half. Still feeling kind of loopy. That's how my day went.
Sounds great, Kathy! I had one benign polyp and yes, diverticulosis for me too. My mom had colon cancer so I need to go every 5 years. I think a doctor who does colonoscopies has to have a sense of humor. My doctor said he hoped he could send me a 'dear Jean' letter, meaning all is well.
I had two benign polyps 3 years ago but none this time. My aunt (dad's sister) died from colon cancer about ten years ago. I love my doc. He has a great bedside manner. I have a sinus headache right now. Allergy time.
Hi Dagmar! What vaccine did you get? I got pfizer and just had a sore arm for a bit.
Kathy, glad it all went well. I don't remember being asleep for mine. But your story reminds me of when I had a tooth pulled and I was definetly put out for that and I remember thinking, I want this drug every day, lol, lol...

I Was just typing up a response when I realized I had already said it! I'm still loopy a bit I guess!
I nearly strangled my son tonight. He thinks he's a real comedian. I'm still having to run to the bathroom and on my last trip I found an empty roll. He had written on the roll "what would MacGyver do?" So I reached to the cabinet next to the toilet where I store all the toilet paper and it was all gone and he stood outside the door giggling! He moved all the spare rolls out of reach! What a brat! He did come in and get me a roll but he continued giggling. I asked what on Earth triggered that idea and he said the role was empty. I owe him big time!
