Question or Help w/email addy

I changed my email addy recently on my profile and have been receiving all my notifications on threads I'm subscribed to and notices of PMs to the new addy.

However, when I want to post a comment on the home page, my old addy pops up. Is the solution as easy as typing in the new addy there? I thought I tried to overwrite it there and nothing happened but I had problems all of yesterday evening where I got nowhere and when I hit refresh the page, I was totally locked in or is is out? I'm afraid to touch the email addy in the home page now without an okay.

Also...how long does it usually take for a response from the administrator to an email?

hi Lynn, that's just your browser "remembering" your e-mail on the home page comments, not us doing anything. we had a brief server outage last night, may have caused the problem you describe.

as to e-mail, well. did you ever watch Mash? we sorta do e-mail triage. if I answered all my e-mail I would literally, and I mean literally, never get anything else done. so I try and answer as much as possible. and Jenn, Tracy and Beate actually do the vast majority, depending on topic. but some of it just never gets answered, actually. it bothers me less than it used to.

your best bet actually is to post something here. someone from the community always has a great response at the ready and then *everyone* gets the benefit of the reply, not just one person.
