Default Question on Aqua Painter and Ink Pads?

Okay call me silly but I know I have posted this question two times before but can never find it to see if any replys. My question on the aqua painters is when using with the ink pads, How do you do it? Do you do the KISS technique and get some ink in the lid or do you use directly from the pad itself.

I love my aqua painters. I first saw them used with Twinkling H2O's and I have been hooked ever since.

Thanks to all that offer advise.

I am going to mark down where I listed this question so I don't loose it. (TeeHee).

I'm far from a "pro", but I've done this two ways. While the stamp pad is closed, I've pressed the lid to the pad and worked with the ink there. But I actually prefer pressing a corner of the pad to a piece of firm plastic (like the clear plastic from tombo packaging - some people use an old CD) and work from there. Because the surface is not porous, the ink doesn't dry. Then you can wipe off the plastic and use it again. HTH.

Did you know that you can easily search for all of your own posts? Just go to your profile and click on "Find all posts by (your username)." I use the reinkers to drop the ink on the lid of my ink pad.

I dab the ink pad onto either a cheapy styrofoam plate (the desert ones are perfect) or the trays that meat comes on (washed, of course). Then I dab on acquapainter on that to pick up the color!

I have all the markers (but not all the pads) and so I scribble on an old plastic watercolor pallet and pick up from there.
