Pages that aren't there?

I've been having this issue occasionally, but now it seems to happen more frequently. Some threads appear to have pages listed that aren't actually there. Here is an example of what I'm talking about: Forums at Splitcoaststampers

Page 75 is highlighted as the current page, and there appears to be a Page 76, 77, 78, and 79. However, when I click on those other pages, Page 75 is still highlighted, and that is still the page I'm on.

Usually, it's only one extra page that "isn't there," but now it's four. Is this a glitch on the site?

ETA: I'm using Chrome with Windows 10, but it was happening with Windows 7 as well.

Yes - that happens with threads with lots and lots of posts in them - that's why you'll see sometimes in the chat forum that people will start new threads after a certain number of posts. It's a long-time magical phenomenon

It was happening to me yesterday in a thread with only about 35 posts....

I've run into threads that start with post number 2. There was no number 1! And yes, there was only one page so number 1 couldn't have been on another page.

I've seen it happen in threads with not very many posts in them as well. Weird.
