Weird stuff

I opened the SCS website and had a purple (pretty stylish) bar across the top of the screen that said 'database error' BUT, I had the titles (todays additions, top news) but everything else was blank. I then tried again to come to the forums and got the 'database error' message. Third time was the charm and was able to get here. Windows XP, Firefox

It's been flaky for me for the last twenty minutes or so - I could get in and then I'd get booted out again. So far I haven't been able to post - here's hoping .

I had tried to get on about 15 or 20 minutes ago and got the database error. I guess the IT guys got it fixed. I can understand wanting Fridays off. I don't work on Fridays -- have worked a 4-day week for about three years now!

I've been having the same datebase troubles -and right now I cannot get into the main gallery - it just shows a blank page and says " done". Do you know the status on that, Lydia?

I've logged out, cleared my cookies and logged back in - and I still cannot see the main gallery!!

Sadly yes :( You need to clear your cache, not your cookies. And make sure you're typing the site address after that, not accessing from a bookmark.

Some people need hard computer reboots...

Yes, sorry, I meant that I had cleared my cache.

If so did you UNcheck the box that said "preserve favorites?"

I'll check that,Lydia. I can see everything but the main gallery! Yes I am using IE. I might try firefox, as my favourites are also bookmarks for me and the rest of us who use this computer.
