I have never had that happen, I would tell a Mod about it though. It's kinda creepy!

I would second this...forward this to a mod. That should NOT be happening.

Definitely weird sounding! It is probably innocuous; some people just don't think to explain how they heard of you or why they decided to PM you, and that's the info that can make a creepy PM into a friendly one. But, just in case it is not, forward the thing to a moderator!

My guess would be they saw something you did and Liked it.
Some people are REALLY out going.
Maybe she needed t find out before Mothers Day or something... Still not the way yo go about it but *shrug* I would just send her back a PM .

I am with the majority. Forward the message to a moderator. You will find their names at the bottom of a Forum page ie.... "General Stamping" or "Suggestions and Questions." It could be that a person has actually joined SCS in order to do "phishing."

You might send a PM reply (only if you really want to) asking the person to be more specific.

We do have a couple of developmentally challenged members who might send an awkward sounding request. They don't mean to be "scary" but simply have not learned social skills.

It's possible that she meant to send it to someone else. I have tried to pm Karen (jusgottastamp) a few times, but mistakenly sent my messages to justgottastamp... And I'm sure she thought they were totally off the wall and potentially creepy too!!
