Default question about website user friendliness

Been needing to ask about this for a couple of weeks but i keep forgetting to. If I am on a forum page, below the ads (at the top of the page) is where my "path" (not sure of the tech name for it) that shows where I am, for example Splitcoaststampers > Stamping Stuff > Splitcoast Challenges > Color Combinations instead of seeing the path, I see Splitcoastst and Color Com pushed to the right of where it should be and the product focus or learn how links block out the rest. I use Camino/Foxfire for my browser but the same thing happens if I use Safari though it isn't quite as bad, I see more of the path but not all of it. It hasn't always been like this and I guess it isn't really that big of a deal but now I have to use the back button to get out of everything instead of clicking on where ever in my path I want to return to. Is there something I can do about this?

Debi, I forwarded a link to this thread to Mark and Daven. We'll see what they say, but I can tell you from my experience (also on a Mac and using Firefox) that the higher the resolution, the better Splitcoast looks. What's yours set at?

Default Looking into it...

Thanks for posting...and you have clearly described the problem. I do have one question: what screen resolution are you using?

I will be testing later today with a mac to try to reduplicate the problem.

The problem is most definitely on our end, not yours.

Thanks,

Mark Cahill

Wow you guys are fast. My experience has also been that SCS looks best on a high resolution too so I have mine set at 1440x900. I spend a lot of time on here and I really appreciate all you do to make this a great place to be.

Debi, my resolution's the same. Do you have your browser window scrunched up to show some of your desktop and other programs, or is it full screen? The smaller I make my browser window, the more there's overlap on the breadcrumb.

Jenn I do have my browser window scrunched up a bit, mostly because I am usually doing 10 things at once but I still have the same problem when I go to full screen. The breadcrumbs are like tabbed in and start 1/3rds of the way across the page causing them to overlap the "Don't miss it" or "Product focus".

Really weird that we are using the same systems and you don't have any problems. I will go check and see if there is an update I missed or something.

Once again thanks so much for the help

nope haven't missed any updates.

Of note the tabbed over is only on Camino not on Safari though the "Product focus" still over laps the breadcrumbs

ah, well that's weird. helpful to see that though, Mark's been cleaning up the display of those headlines and this'll help him track down the issue.

I not sure what you all have done but it is fixed if I use Safari for a browser and improved but not fixed using Camino which I prefer.

I got my bread crumbs back!!! Thank you. What ever you did with the change over fixed it, finally. Please, please, please don't change it again, I was so tired of being lost. LOL
