Default question about putting a quote in your message...

OK, while I do know how to put a quote in, I do not know how to make it say in bold above the quote username wrote and then have the qoute below it.

Please share how this is done!

Thanks!
Karin

All I did was push the Quote button on your post-it automatically opened up a response window and puts your name and the quote there. Then you add your own message to it.

Click the QUOTE box right above the post that you'd like to quote. That'll do it.

ETA: Karin, you should build a cake for Britta ;)

Thanks so much for this info. I've been wondering for a while, now, too!

Britta & Jenn,
Thanks for the coaching on this. I also didn't know how to do it. Now, can
I hijack this thread for just a minute? Hope nobody minds. First, know
this...I am not computer savvy. My question is if there is a way to change
the format of my posts from so vertical to more horizontal like almost
everyone else's. Translation: I'd like my posts to fill up the message space
horizontally instead of only using about half that space & then going down
to the next line. Does this make sense? Is this issue in my computer itself
or is there something I can to change it? Thanks in advance for replies!

Mary

I have no idea why your message does that.
Jenn? Daven?

I am basically the low-man on the technology understanding totem pole. Sorry.

Press the "quote" button like you would normally do, then you can edit the text by clicking inside the message and deleting what you don't want. Just be careful not to delete the bracket [ ] marks around the word quote. Does that make sense?

Gee... this is fun now! People don't have to wonder why I'm quoting my own reply! Or simply typing in my quote! This site rocks!! Thanks for posting this thread!
