I wonder if it would be okay, and I know I am probably asking a lot, if whoever is going to take the gallery down for a time, could at least somewhere some how give us notice.....
It is really frustrating to be in the looking and commenting mode and all of a sudden with no notice its "whacked". It feels like someone slamming the door in your face when all you wanted to do was make a nice comment.
Then I go to look at the Home page, then to the Forum in this section and "nothing" unless someone who has been cut off asks the question.
Even if just one of the Moderators could post a thread. I am not asking to know when it will be up again, just acknowledge it has been taken down.
I hope this has not and will not be taken personally. If it seems that way, I apologize.

I know personally how frustrating it can be when the gallery goes *poof* when you're doing something! Many times, we are in the middle of approving or stuff ourselves when it goes down! We don't get any warning when it's shut off even for a few minutes. . . there isn't a schedule.
Daven made an announcement yesterday regarding shutting the site down for a bit while the final stuff is done. He'll give plenty of notice for that when it does happen. Soon.
