Default Font problems

Hi there oh wise ones

Not sure what I have done to my settings but the font has changed and the layout due to something and it is so so tiny I can't read what is here or find things---it is like everything is WAY far away. Other web sites are fine. Tried to change font size on computer but does nothing to this site. Please help.

I can't say for sure, but I think there's been a change in the layout on the site. It was like this one day during the week too, and then it went back to old format. It's certainly much easier to see threads with new posts as they stand out in bolder font, but the hyperlinks are now pale and don't stand out the same way, and some headers do look smaller. So I don't think it's just you, but I can't honestly say that it's too small to read even on the laptop here.
Have you tried zooming in? I don't know about other browsers, but it's Control++ in Firefox.

Oh Goodness -

Yeah - this happened a few days ago - I'm sorry - I will report it. It's not intentional.

Yes! I've been finding the same thing! If you look here Forums at Splitcoaststampers

in the gallery comments contest, somedays lately it has been formatting as usual - other days , when I or Emily have copied and pasted - we have both just gotten the actual link copied. Not sure how to explain that -but you can have a look, Lydia. Strange stuff!

I prefer the normal formatting. I have not needed to zoom in - but the light coloured stuff is weird....I'm using IE8.

Default URLs for links not automatically converting to titles

This issue may be related to the link text not displaying as bold. Then again, maybe not.

When typing a post, the forum software usually changes a URL into the title of the page automatically when you Preview Post or Submit Reply. Today the pasted links are displaying as the plain URLs instead.

Thanks Crafts! That's what I meant to explain in my post. And yet in just above - the URL turned into a title!!!! But it varies from hour to hour , from day to day lately. Thanks for helping me explain to Lydia!

Thanks Lydia. I know you are on it!

I agree, all the other things, like the pale and small fonts, and the formatted hyperlinking (isn't it amazing how quickly we got used to that, LOL), and the names not showing in the tabs are a major pain, but I have to admit I love the way new posts being so easy to pick out.

Don't worry, one bonus isn't enough to set against all the negatives; I'll be happy to see the old format back some time today ;-).

Thanks for the replies--and it sounds like it isn't just me. The print is so faint and the layout so weird many times that I can't read it. I love this site but if I can't read/see it I can't enjoy it.

Thank you for all who keep this place running. Sure do appreciate it. And to all who replied---thanks!!!

I'm glad I checked this forum, because I was uploading a card recently and SNAP! Right in the middle of it, my fonts got SUPER TINY and I can barely read anything here on SCS now! I thought perhaps I clicked somewhere and accidentally changed the font size, but apparently I didn't! I hope they change it back soon - these old eyes almost need a magnifying glass to read the comments now

Hmmm - the font size hasn't changed - this thread is about a site problem we had last weekend. I think you have something going on with your browser.
