Edit does not work / Like Button errors/ Tab opening issues / Post Counts Incorrect
 

Hi Lydia - I wanted to correct a spelling mistake in my comment to the IC challenge thread and it takes me to a blank page instead of to my post. The post flashes before the blank page appears. So the spelling mistake can't be fixed ... I don't want to type it all over again.

I'm having a problem when trying to load a card to the staging gallery for VSN...it won't let me choose anything under Select a Gallery...I tried technique or just anything..nothing is highlighted..

OK never mind..now it seems to be working...I was able to highlight a choice on the dropdown menu on the upload page...not sure why it wasn't working before...

I noticed an odd thing, too...when you're viewing a challenge & click on the Gallery link, it doesn't open in a new tab automatically. It's happened everywhere I've tried. That's kind of annoying, too. Same thing if you click on a link within the challenge or from the description in a card. It takes you right out of SCS.

I can't open any tabs; this has been happening for the last few days.

Are you all using chrome? I've had some issues with tabs hanging up and then it says chrome not responding.it asks if I want to wait and if I choose to wait, it still closes out on me anyway,

No, I'm using Firefox and can open tabs on other websites but not on SCS.

Well there goes my theory that it was a chrome issue! LOL

Nope. I use Safari.

If you really want to open a new tab, and the control-click isn't working, try right-clicking on your link and use the open in new tab option. It's not the greatest thing in the world, but it might get you through. I wonder if it's something from the latest update... QVC is the only other site I can think of off the top of my head for which control-click doesn't get me a new tab. And I hate it.

More problems Lydia - whenever I hit like in the threads I am sent back to the top of the page ... you know that gets annoying after while.

Okay edit is working now but I do see that like weirdness.

"Like" causes frustration
 

When I tap the like box, the screen moves to the top original thread post. Frustrating when reading several new posts and must scroll down again. It this a new feature?

I merged your post into the existing thread about this - it's not a feature - it's a bug.

Oh dear Lydia ... when I click on a link within SCS it does not open in a new window on my computer, so it is overriding my settings. Outside SCS my links open in new window (tab) - I have cleared cache, still doing it.

Not sure if this is related or not, but my friend smadson says she's not getting notifications anymore when I upload a card. Since I don't subscribe to any gallery's I didn't know if that was a widespread issue too, or not. Just thought I'd mention it.

I got several today so it might be her email provider.

Clicking "like" button puts me at top of page
 

Is this happening to anyone else? Every time I "like" a post, I get taken to the top of the page regardless of how far down in the thread the post I liked was. It never did that before. :confused:

Oops, sorry. Guess I should have read some of the other threads before I started this one. I see others have already mentioned this several times. :oops:

I can now open tabs in Gallery but still not able to open tabs in Forum.

Two friends have said their total comments numbers dropped and I wonder if this is part of this continuing saga? I don't think mine has changed, but Sharon's is now at over 14,000 and she was nearly at 30,000 the other day. I remember because she had more than I did and started the same year.

Is this also part of the same bug as the like and edit issues? Mine has gone down from over 60,000. As if maybe it was only forum posts and not comments.... Though in that case it seems high!!

It would be interesting if a reason could be found between those who lost comments and those who didn't. It has to be frustrating trying to figure out why things do what they do!

Right click is not working.
I hope the bug gets killed soon! Hard to use this website otherwise.
This has always been a user-friendly, smart website so I hope it stays that way!

I asked Lydia that yesterday and she said yes, same bug. I don't think mine dropped but several friends did.

Yes - everything is part of the same issue.

It all could be worse! We could be locked out of SCS, which would throw me into a major panic attack! LOL

I have lost my edit button on the pif threads... can only quote my lists now instead of updating the original. EG is post 2239 in this thread

My like button seems to be working again. Its not sending me to the top when I click on it anymore!

mine lost about 70,000 or so.......will it be updated.....

I just noticed my post count went down to 219 and I know I had a lot more than that. Did I do something wrong?
