I just got back from mine! Really cute ceramic snowman and snowflake mugs & plates. I also got a ceramic 'pail' with a snowman on it to fill with treats.
They also had really cute gift boxes, I got some to give my ornaments in.
I LOVE Target!!!

Oh girls! Thanks for the heads up! I have a free pass tonight to the grocery store (fun, eh?) but I will swing by Target on the way -- with NO KIDS! Woo hoo!

OMG, I *LOVE* the $1 section at Target! I even got the baby a t-shirt there that was super soft and super cute! (he's actually wearing it today!) And, anyone who gets the Paragon catalog and has seen the multicolored tealight holders...Target had the same ones...2 of the same color for $1- just buy 6 sets and you have the whole multicolored lot for half price (and no shipping cost!).
I'll have to head over there this week! Thanks for the heads up!
YEP! And, DH cleaned the kitchen and bathed and put the boys to bed! He's so good (most of the time! )
So, I checked out my Target and all the old stuff was gone and they had put out some of the new stuff. A little disapointing that there was nothing for me to stamp on, but maybe they'll get something in. I got all caught up in the little clutch purses for ONE DOLLA'! I bought a basic black one for my sister and me. A girl can never have too many purses! I also bought 3 stuffed turtles for my two boys and our baby cousin. I really had to resist all the soft cuddly super cute stuffed animals! I'm such a sucker!
So, Dyu -- what ink did you use to stamp on the cutting boards? And did you seal them? I figure they'd mostly be for decoration . . . I had the same thought as you, only difference is, I haven't actually followed through on it!
Something else new at Target. Not in Dollar Spot but Stationary. They have an assortment of note pads from small to large with covers, attached pens, attached rubber bands to keep pages shut and all are covered in a "kraft" like material just like the stampable scrapbooks from the dollarspot. They have different color bindings & some have a little word like "notes" that looks just like it came from Everyday Flexible Phrases. I bought the small notepad with snap closure for $1.29 and stamped it with flowers from Shapes & Shadows. Will try to post pix in am.

I have a few of those notebooks Cindy was talking about . . . actually, come to think of it, I have a huge box of stuff just begging to be stamped upon! I guess I better get busy and stamp 'em up before I buy any more things!
I will not hoard . . . I will not hoard . . . I will not hoard . . .
When the stuff went to a quarter - I decided to make themed baskets for my husband's family. I grabbed the cooking items & I'll use the BBQ set from the summer mini for tags!
You're right there's not a lot of stuff to stamp on - but I have stamps that will look cute with the snowmen mugs/plates, Bubble Queen for the spa items, and a new gingerbread man for the cookie exchange items. So mostly I'm making theme baskets & making tags to go with them. Plus there were lots of empty spots.
My husband struggles every Christmas about what to get the people in his office & if he gives them one more candle from Pier 1 they may scream - LOL!
So I think I'll encourage him to get the coffee, chocolates, mug, plate & they can have a nice selection (gender friendly too).
Last year a company he does business with gave him this HUGE basket filled with all sorts of goodies - now he can make his own "mini" version.

You are so right about making baskets! What a fabulous idea -- I guess I just wasn't "there" yet. Does this mean I have an excuse to order Bubble Queen now? I love it, but haven't ordered it b/c I didn't think I would use it that much. My Target also had TONS of blank spots as well. I tried to read some of the labels - mostly the food items that are not there yet. Target is definitely making a TON of money off this little section, I am sure! I love Target. I am soooo glad that I have a Target super close to my house now and I don't always have to drag through the super huge giant stressful Super-Walmart! UGH! I mean, the prices are good sometimes, but a girl could really grow to hate that place. Besides, Target (*in a French chic voice*) is so much more hip and chic!

I love my Bubble Queen - I give lots of gift cert. to B&BW during the year. Target is very hip & chic! My daughter has a puppy so I guess I'll make her a puppy basket for Christmas - there were 5 ladies digging through that section so that will wait for another day!! Do you live near a Target greatland or a reg. Target? The greatland stores have even more to choose from - YIKES!!

SU! has a stamp set called Bubble Queen (on pg. 90 of the catalog). It's very cute!
Hmmmm . . . a basket of puppies! I like that idea!! I have neices and nephews that might work for . . . . hmmmmm . . .
I live near a regular Target and I'm glad it's regular! Simply b/c we have the SuperWalmart right near by and it's just too much sometimes. My Target is super close to my Publix -- like next door, practically, so it's nice and convenient!
