Please help me! I forgot how to stamp and I can't figure out how again :(
I've tried casing, and tweaking, and the challenges and I just sit there and stare at my desk  I need some encouragement!
Isn't that just the worst??? But trust me, you will find your muse The things that work for me are to (re) organize my stamping/ scrapping area and to make little throw away card fronts to make little notes for my DD. I try out different techniques and images without the worry of someone "judging" my work. After one or both of these, I find that I get a little inspiration.
I don't know what to say, the challenges always work for me. I think maybe it's like writing or drawing, just start putting something on the page and dont worry about it turning out fantastic, we all have some winners and losers, just enjoy yourself again.
I agree w/ the Challenges - they always get my mojo going - but if they aren't working for you at them moment, how about looking at your paper, grabbing 3 colors and a stamp set that you haven't used in a while and see what you come up with. Maybe even one of your first sets (I think that was a Limited Supply Challenge recently).
I don't know how to help you because I find inspiration in your work and your sketch challenges (even though I never post mine)!
I am a huge believer in taking long baths for several nights in a row. After several nights of relaxation, I am ready to stamp again! So grab something to drink, a book or magazine (not stamping related) and take a long, hot bath. I am such a believer in this system that I have been going to my friends' and relatives' houses and taking baths (because our current rental only has a shower) (boy am I ready for our house to be ready)!

I'm always trying to hit a home run when I stamp, so to speak, and it can be the biggest barrier to my creativity!
The next card you make doesn't have to be the best one you've ever made - just grab your favorite set and start playing...you'll be back in the saddle before long, I'm sure!!
I agree with the challenges, especially yours, silly girl! So go browse your past challenges! Ok enuf kidding, I usually buy a magazine and that makes me want to stamp. Plus if I go right to my stamp table and not straight here to SCS then I am more clear headed to actually think up something myself.
Thanks for the encouragement ladies! I think I just needed someone to "just do it!" lol. So my plan of action is a) go take a bath b) go through the challenges and find a fun one and c) don't try to create a masterpiece lol. Thanks again, I really appreciate your words help.

I have to say that it helps me the most when I know what I need to do....I need to make a certain kind of card etc....then being less stressed is always helpful ;)
Could you attend a stamp camp that someone is having.....sometimes getting out of the house to "create" helps me...

Know what you mean.......I have gone to my stamp room and wandered around vaguely wondering what to do. I need to create my Christmas card and can't even decide on the color combo for this year. So, since stamping and creating wasn't working, I just started putting things away in the room and reorganizing stuff. Putting away the paper I purchased recently, etc. Maybe I just need a good bath, right Mel?
