Default Sizzix big shot switch plus

I am giving serious thought to buying the Sizzix Big Shot Switch Plus. I have two big shots, the SU large size die cut machine, and a cuttlebug. But I have some mild tendonitis at times and am weary of all the “sandwiches” I have to create. Looking for feedback on the switch plus. Specifically, is it self-adjusting to various die thicknesses and would you buy it again?
I see Amazon has their price under $300. Pending your comments, I am ready to pull the trigger and order one! Thank you in advance!

I don't personally have one yet, but I saw it demoed in early 2020 at a trade show and fell in love. I've been patiently waiting to get one. I thought it looked like it ran like a dream. Check YouTube for review videos and you can see how it runs. That's the best advice I can offer.

Here is a thread where people have discussed the Switch machine and other electric machines. Maybe it will help with your decision, if you haven't decided. NEW SIZZIX BIG SHOT SWITCH by Lorri.V. at Splitcoaststampers

Is the one on Amazon a starter kit for $300 or just the machine? Scrapbook dot com has the black one, no dies or anything for less than $250. Even with shipping it would be less than $300. Unfortunately it seems they don't have any bundled machines in stock :(

I've been trying to get my hands on one of their pink ones (exclusive to them) for months but haven't had any luck. If I have to I'll buy a black one. I have a crafters companion electric machine and it's helpful for the BSSP seems a little more versatile.

The Switch is more universal. I bought the black one from Scrapbook dot com. I didn’t need more dies for the price difference. I like that I can use any of the dies I own in it.
